They were super nice, but they were really slow that day, maybe because they were new or shorthanded, I dunno. But they had the HARDEST time getting our shake order right. Check this out:
We asked for a small Raspberry cheesecake shake, which they got right. But we had also ordered a small chocolate shake with chocolate chips, and a small peanut butter shake with chocolate chips. Simple, right? But the girl at the window had to come back to us three times to ask us what we wanted again, and we were at the window for at least 10 minutes while they struggled to get our order together.
So when we first pulled up, she gave us the raspberry cheesecake shake, no problem there. Then she handed us a vanilla shake with chocolate chips. We thought it was the peanut butter shake, but we soon realized it was just vanilla. So we waited for her to come back to the window, when she finally did we told her it's the wrong shake, and then she started really struggling to understand what we wanted. We repeated it several times, then she went back. For the next several minutes, she came back to us twice to clarify our order, and the while time you could see her and another employee acting nervously, no idea why. Finally, she came back with our shakes, and she said "OK, THIS one has peanut butter". I thought that there was no way it wouldn't be, and we had been sitting there for so long, we took off.
THERE WAS NO PEANUT BUTTER AGAIN! All that, and my poor wife STILL didn't get her peanut butter shake.
Honestly though, as frustrating as it was, it was a little funny. And JCW's usually has great service, and ALWAYS has AMAZING food. Their shakes (when it's the correct one) are the best around, and you definitely get your money's worth. Take our experience with a grain of salt, it's usually...
Read moreI have given JCWs many tries, and I just can not seem to hit. After this last time I had to sum it up and review, it gets a 1.4/5, it was very bad and disappointing. I don't give many bad reviews, but this is one of them:
First, for a bacon ranch burger combo and a shake, it's $20! For a fast food place. Then some wings on the side, I spent more than $30 total. The prices are WAY too high for this quality of food. The burger had no ranch, the bacon was just okay, and the beef is so dry and has weak char flavor. Chopped lettuce just isn't it on burgers, and it just got so messy and slides everywhere. Not well put together. The fries are flop (see picture). Virtually no crunch, it tastes old, and just not fresh. The chocolate Malt shake (which they actually forgot to give me and I had to pull back around and ask for) had virtually no malt flavor, a fake nestle-like chalky chocolate taste, and are just a silly big size which you pay for. The only redeeming quality are the wings honestly. Good fry and crunch, still moist, and good sauces, including ranch. (Which I wish was actually in the Ranch Burger...)
The lines are always long when you go, and it's not because it's that good, they are just that slow. You'll spend a good 6-7 minutes in the drive through just for your own food. There were maybe 2 cars in front of me and I was there for a good 12 minutes.
Very disappointed overall. I want to leave this review to help others go to other local char-broil burger joints (Astro, Crown, etc.) that are way better and almost $10 cheaper per person. Don't waste your...

Went tonight, February 1st, and had a below mediocre experience. I went through the drive through and while the line was short and not nearly as packed as everyone says this place always is; I still ended up being shorted food. Since it was our first time trying JCW's my family tried a variety of food. 3 burgers: 1. Pastrami- while the menu says a "MOUND" of pastrami- there was barely enough to taste it. 2. Big C Cheeseburger- Not bad just expensive.! 3. Jalapeno Bacon- SUPER spicy, jalapeno still had veins and seeds intact overpowering the entire dinner. A large fry. Fries were good... no salt on them though. A large onion ring which was burnt to a crunchy crisp. A cheese fry (pictured along side a small drink) which was so unappetizing by the time I got home, stuck together and cold. Not to mention smashed due to being on the bottom of the paper bag. A 3 peice Chicken Finger Platter (pictured)- which was a fan favorite in my house until one of my kids spit up a chicken tendon she couldn't chew. And finally a 6 peice wing in mild sauce that I paid for but never received. Called and informed them that I didn't receive my whole order- they offered for me to pick up the wings, since it was a 20 minute drive one way I declined and asked for a refund. Safe to say my family and I do not reccomend this place and won't be returning ourselves. Save some money and go to Culver's, In-and-out, or really any other...
