If you’re heading out of Tahoe and in need of a solid breakfast, do yourself a favor and stop by this hidden gem. We were on our way back to Sacramento when we decided to hit up Starbucks, only to discover this spot serves breakfast too. I ordered the breakfast sandwich, and I’m not even exaggerating when I say it was hands down the best I’ve ever had. Seriously, I can’t think of a single way to improve it. The sandwich was perfection, from the freshly cracked egg to the surprisingly flavorful tomato—something I feel is hard to come by these days.
The service was top-notch as well. I walked in, was greeted immediately, and my order was in the works as soon as I paid. It’s always a good sign when you can see the cook crack the egg fresh over the skillet. Everything was clearly made with care, and I loved the fresh, high-quality ingredients.
The restaurant itself was super clean, cozy, and had a perfect Tahoe vibe—lots of wood and that rustic charm. I arrived around 9:30 AM, and the place had a welcoming, laid-back atmosphere. If you’re in town and craving an outstanding breakfast sandwich, don’t miss this spot. It’s definitely going to be a regular stop for me on my trips...
Read moreFood is pricey. Everything is individually priced. We ordered for 6 people, mostly children, and the total came to be 107$. It would have been ok, but like I said, everything was individually priced. We ordered 3 drinks. They include only 1 free refill. After paying, i thought wow the food better be good for this price. It honestly didn't disappoint! The burgers were delicious, and my burrito 🌯 was perfect. The fries were my favorite. I would say quantiy for price could be better. The grilled cheese sandwich was so soft and delicious. Churros & ice cream for dessert 🍨. Unless sitting outside in their one table, the sitting inside is not suitable for children in highchair. My baby was literally under the table. That made me sad. Parking is hard to find but it's because of the area, I'm sure. I would visit again. We are from out of town. From reading reviews people complain about the service but the owners were pleasant and I saw them...

Was craving a diner style burger and I luckily found Chico‘s burger. The hostess was very informative about the different options that were available as I had never eaten there before. She even suggested one of their hidden menu items which in my opinion should now be called Chicos burger. It was a double bacon cheeseburger with grilled onions and avocado, something that is not on the menu, but it was everything it could’ve been! A beautiful diner burger.
The fries were status quo. Nothing to write home about, but the vanilla ice cream milkshake hit the spot as a closer and I couldn’t have been more thankful to add it on.
If you’re looking for a quick bite and more so a burger, I would suggested to anybody to try out Chico’s! Might have to wait a little bit as the food...
