Two weeks ago, I ordered catering and I have several complaints. Not only was the order incorrect — I had made specific requests that were not followed — but they also gave me sauces without labeling which one was which. On top of that, when I went to pick up the catering, I was treated terribly. Both the owners and the staff who handed me the order were rude, as if they were doing me a favor for something I had paid for. Their attitude clearly affected my mood that day.
I absolutely recommend the sandwiches because they are delicious, but the way some team members — and especially the owners — treat both customers and their employees leaves a lot to be desired.
Also, as a former employee of the store, I’d like to say that it’s not a good work environment, as there is a certain level of racism at times — whether it’s because of the language, the music, or other things, Happy to be leaving such a toxic work...
Read moreGreat locally pop owed franchise. It's a little bit on the higher side in terms of price, spent almost $20 for a footlong long sandwich meal (chips+drink+a little tip), but it's worth it! (And what isn't expensive, especially in this town; especially nowadays, after a pandemic... And also this city is driving it's residents and especially it's businesses that have been here for a long time, out, in favor of greed). Ingredients are very fresh, they make everything there (besides the chips and drinks of course), but the bread, cookies, meat, veggies is all freshly bake and prepared there. I know the owner personally, and he's a wonderful guy, with a positive character, puts a lot of effort into running his business. Unfortunately, after long years of public service to his community, he's selling the franchise, so be sure to try this place out before it closes! (somewhere before Summer 2024). Good...
Read moreFood was delicious. Port of subs is always consistent across locations.
However, I was pretty shocked by some aspects of the service. When we walked in the new owner introduced himself, sat down at a table to chat, watched a line form, and never got up to help the three women working.
The three women were quite disorganized and seemed to not know the menu well. When a sandwich was made with the wrong meat, the worker just threw the meat out (which was disappointing to see the waste).
After making a pretty basic request, two of the three women got annoyed and talked about us in Spanish (not realizing we understood what they were saying).
We usually love this Port of Subs and always make a point to go every summer, but the behavior of both the relatively new owner (since 2024) and the service in general left quite a bit...
