Decided to go a little further to try a new restaurant. Please call and ask about prices before placing your order. We ordered after looking at the menu online and the price at pickup was quite a bit more than we expected. Asked the owner and she said she couldn't take down the menu online and they don't have a facebook page either. No real reflection of their menu is online from what I can find. The food wasn't great, but the portions were generous. The chicken fried rice only had onion and a few bean sprouts in it - we're used to maybe some egg, peas & carrots as well. Same for the chicken lo mein - only onion & maybe 1/4 cup of veggies in a quarter serving. The egg rolls were fine, but nothing I would want to go back to get. Our orange chicken was a little tough, but again, fine. The beef in our last dish was pretty good, but the garlic sauce was sweeter than we are used to for that order. I've never personally been to asia - have no idea what the food should be really - but we know what we enjoy from other Chinese restaurants, locally & from other areas we've lived across the country. We'll probably continue going to the other Chinese places in the area, nothing about Dragon Town really made us...
Read moreWas recommended from my niece who I now know has terrible taste in food. Ordered ahead, tried to get a price before arriving but nope that wasn't happening. Arrived and the shopping center it was located in was nice (that's the end of the good news). Went inside and the interior was dirty and grimy. Signs were covered in what appeared to be grease. The food cost more than the math worked out from the prices on the internet so either the tax is ridiculously high or they overcharged us. Got to our hotel and got our food out of the bag. The honey chicken was mediocre. The general tso's chicken was gross. The sweet and sour chicken was soggy and greasy. The bourbon chicken was dry with no bourbon sauce at all. The chicken fried rice was just skilled toasted rice with no eggs or vegetables and it was so dry. The egg rolls tasted like cheap greasy premade gas station egg rolls. The crab rangoon was just cream cheese and has an odd taste. So, my entire family is going to bed hungry tonight and are hoping we don't wake up with food poisoning so...
Read moreWe decided to give this place a try despite the mixed reviews online, but unfortunately, it was a big disappointment and we won’t be going back.
First off, the prices we were charged didn’t match what was listed online or what was taped up on the menu inside the restaurant. That was already frustrating, but the food itself made things worse.
I ordered the pad Thai with chicken, which is supposed to come with rice noodles—but what I got was a massive pile of egg noodles. It was basically a bland noodle heap with a couple bean sprouts, some carrot slices, a little chicken, and egg mixed in. Not even close to what it should have been.
The egg rolls were mostly thick, hard casing with barely any filling. The brown gravy for the almond chicken was so thick it was more like a paste than a sauce. The egg drop soup was weirdly chunky, and most of the other dishes were seriously lacking in flavor.
Overall, it was a letdown across the board. We gave it a fair shot, but it didn’t live up to even the most average...
