For my daughter's first birthday I went to South Lyon Village Bakery for her specialty cake. I asked if they could decorate a cake with "Classic Pooh Bear" on the large cake and make a "Hunny pot" smash cake based on a few photos I found. They went above and beyond and did an amazing job! And - the cake was delicious! We went with the whipped buttercream frosting, white cake, and raspberry jelly preserves as the middle layer - delicious! Everyone at her birthday party was amazed with the cake and thought it was very cute. Great communication on the design, ready to pick up on time, and a great price. Thank you South Lyon Village Bakery for the amazing cakes and always fantastic doughnuts (apple fritters are the best!) :) We'll be back again for cakes in the future!

I rarely give 5 stars but I would say they are 4.9 but this bakery is as consistent it gets with their donuts. I’m a regular since I live fairly close by but I showed up on Fat Tuesday of course for some paczkis! I arrived around 830am and there was no line but a few people inside. The paczkis were amazing and filled with filling. All the other donuts especially the apple fitter and the custard are delicious. You can’t go wrong but the one critique I would give about the paczkis are the price. They were kind of expensive. Those 6 were about $16 but I understand. When I left there was a line out the door. If you are in the area, I would definitely stop in early because these donuts go fast.

When I entered, I was promptly greeted and was not ready to place my order as there were so many delicious items to choose from. I got a donut with vanilla glaze and sprinkles, a cinnamon roll, and 2 apple fritters. They were very good! I should not have waited so long to stop in here for my donut needs. I’ll be stopping by the bakery again very soon.

I am so disappointed! We have been customers for years and the other day I went to pick up my son's graduation cake that I ordered over a month before and it had NONE of images I had asked for on it. I had emailed to the email address they gave me all of the images I wanted and none of them were on the cake. The angry female owner instead argued with me that I never sent the images so I went home and sent them for the SECOND time. They charged me $80 for the quarter sheet that had none of what I asked on it. I could have bought the same cake at Kroger for a third of the price. I won't be ordering cakes there anymore. Such a shame because they had done a beautiful job on other event cakes for us...
