So I’ve been watching them remodel this place for a while, and now it’s done. (It was the old A&W burger joint back in the day. Then “Left’s Cheese steaks…didn’t last long). This place WILL be around for a long time. This is the best burger I’ve ever had. (A Chef in the back is making your burger) First, they use Wagyu Beef…and get this, the owner, Dave, said they have their own cattle farm where they raise the Beef. (looking for healthy oils?...he’ll sell you Tallow) I ordered the “Big Flex” ¼ Waygu patty, nice lettuce leaves, tomato, grilled onions, pickle, and smoked aioli, all on a toasted sesame bun. Perfect grill on the bun loaded with sesame seeds. NOW the fries…Truffle g.o.a.t. FRIES: Wagyu tallow-fries tossed in black truffle salt, shaved parmesan, parsley served with a side of “Garlic Aloli”. $19.00 with a soft drink. Not bad considering McD’s meal is about $15.00 and Five Guys is closer to $20.00. This food is freshly made. I highly recommend that you stop and try it — LFG Local is spot on!. Get there fast before the...
Read moreSeveral issues that are likely related to normal start-up pain points Front of House- The person at the counter was very nice and completely overwhelmed for the number people in the restaurant. My wife and I ordered 2 smashburger combos, no modifications.
Back of House - Both burgers and fries arrived hot, but it took about 30 minutes for our order to arrive. These were definitely not smash burgers, they looked to be pre-made 1/4 lb patties. In addition, neither burger came with the Vermont White Cheddar. There were 2 guys in the kitchen and neither one was working with any sense of urgency for the number of people waiting for their food . Instead of putting burger patties or dogs down as soon as the order hits the kitchen display, it looked like they were working 1 order at a time.. This place has potential, but they definitely need more time to tighten things up in the BOH and figure out when they need to have a couple people up front taking orders, answering phones, and getting food out...
Read moreI had lunch at LFG Local in South Lyon and I have to say, I was very pleasantly surprised. I’ve eaten a lot of burgers in my lifetime, and theirs was absolutely one of the best I’ve had in years. The Wagyu beef was amazing,, well seasoned, cooked just right. You can tell they put care into what they serve.
I also tried the Godfather sandwich, and it was outstanding. A real hearty sandwich. The flavors were bold, and everything tasted fresh. It’s the kind of sandwich that reminds you of the way restaurants used to do things generous portions and good quality ingredients.
The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was comfortable. Nothing fussy or loud. Just a nice place to sit and enjoy a really good meal.
I will definitely be going back, and I’ll be telling my friends about it too. It’s rare nowadays to find a place that does...
