I was on a extended weekend visit to Sarasota. My bestie said let's ride to St Petersburg. We scooped up her step mom and she had brunch on her mind.

They decided we should visit Keke's. This is my first time in the area. The restaurant rinded me of Eggs Up in Georgia. The decor was big booths or half booths, tables and chairs. Accommodating for any one that would like to dine in. Clean spot and we didn't have to wait at all.

We pretty much ordered the build your own breakfast combination. One pancake with home fries and sausage and them I added a side of bacon. I had a choice of two eggs or home fries. I chose home fries and glad I did. I also ordered the Banana, Nut & Caramel French Toast. Topped with banana, pecans, caramel and powdered sugar to share with the table.

Y'all the food was in hearty sized portions. Nothing stingy about this establishment. The 🥞 pancake was big enough for two servings or two people. Yes one pancake. It was so light and fluffy. Perfectly browned with crispy edges. It was a delight.

Home Fries are the real deal. One thing I don't like about the south as a native of Philadelphia is that they believe a shredded hash brown or hash brown patties is similar to home fries. No it's definitely not the same. I almost cried when they brought me that plate of home fries. They were pan fried/ grilled like I do them at home. The edges were crispy and a little burn on them. Exactly how they should made. My bacon and sausage were memorable and good.

The banana nut caramel french toast. What a decadent treat. It doesn't make any sense how good this breakfast was on this day.

Keke's 10/10 would recommend. Also Marco G was a pro. We came in late but he treated us like we came it at 8am. He was patient while we kept changing our mind, answered our questions band made some recommendations. He attended to our every need including to go boxes. He...

This particular location was a favorite location of me and a lot of my co workers who were coming very frequently to have lunch , waitress would even know our names and what do we prefer to order . Within a week , one of a sudden rules have changed - when all the masks requirements for vaccinated individuals has been lifted . So having only an hour lunch and have this particular Keke”s location was a turn off for me , as I walked in I was asked if I have a mask , I said I do not carry it anymore since I was vaccinated , I asked if there is mask available and I would wear it - the lady at the front suggested me to go to the Walmart or dollar tree - mind you - during my short lunch . Apparently the owner of this particular location requires mask to be worn .. and the sign states that it is mandatory by municipal authorities.. which we know is not the case anymore . Also what is the reason wearing a mask for 30 seconds to be seated , and then eat utilizing not planting utensils which could be just thrown away but the real silverware which would have a saliva particulate on it. However I walked away and have no intentions of coming back and support this business and neither my co workers are willing to go there anymore and leave a very good gratitude to the waitress who are working hard for...

I normally hate to write bad reviews, but I feel that constructive criticism is sometimes needed. Our waitress was bad (inexperienced?) and it ruined my time here. And it's just particularly unfortunate because I have often been to other Keke's, I always love the food, and this new location is less than a mile from my home.

I went to this new Keke's location two days ago with my sister. Despite having many open tables, my sister and I were placed right across from the heavily-trafficked restroom. Our waitress brought our waters and took our orders timely. The food came out and everything was delicious! No joke-- two bites in-- the waitress drops off the check saying "no rush." Then, when both my sister and I were maybe 1/4 way done with our waffles, she swung by again to ask if we needed to-go containers. We felt super rushed and ended up scarfing our entire waffles in less than 10 minutes (total). The waitress stood by the table as I signed for the check and took the black sleeve away as soon I placed it on the table in front of me. I guess she was in a huge rush to clear the table and get new...

I went to Keke's yesterday 7/10/2024 at around 9:30am, with my family. We sat down to eat.A waitress came up and took our drink orders. Then we ordered our meals. I ordered a pancake combo, and I asked for my toppings on the side. The waitress informed me that she didn't know if they were allowed to do that. I let her know that I ordered my meal like that. Each time i've been here and there was no problem. The waitress returned from seeing the cook now in tears because he yelled at her. My family and I were so upset to see her and tears. I asked to speak to a manager to inform her that he would no longer be eating there today. We paid for the cup of coffee and made sure we tiped the waitress well for her time and effort. On a normal day, I would have rated Keke's a ten out of five, but not today. The cook staff behavior was inappropriate and unnecessary. My prayers to our Waitress, I pray the her day it was better then it started.

DINERS BEWARE! DOES NOT FOLLOW PINELLAS COUNTY (or their own posted) COVID GUIDELINES. Today was our first visit to Keke's. Like many Pinellas county residents, we are very cautious but at the same time, are trying to get out in the community a little bit. We chose a restaurant that publicly commits to adhering to COVID guidelines. It turns out, though, Keke's has a ' non-mask mandate/physical distancing' side of the restaurant that is in no way identified, nor are unwary patrons notified when they are seated there. And, when asked about it, the staff actually became belligerent! I don't know about most people, but I haven't been this careful for a year about COVID exposure, only to have some lax and uncaring restaurant personnel harm my wellbeing! My recommendation: Stay away from Keke's. There are plenty of good restaurants in the vicinity that care about their patrons!
