Gloria Jean's Coffees — Restaurant in South Portland

Typically I love the strawberry supremes I get here. They have been off the menu for a while but some of the employees still know how to make them. Today I made my order and the guy behind the counter seemed as if he knew what I was talking about. He told his co-worker how to make it and I waited. I was delivered a purple, grape-looking drink and I told them that whenever I order this, it's a chocolate brown color. He took it back and apologized after some confusion. He returned again and the drink tasted of oreos and coffee, no strawberries. I had left and went back into the mall area before realizing this. I returned to the store and explained that it tasted like oreos. The employee explained that this is normally how they make it, and I honestly don't believe that because I have gotten it many times here and it has never tasted like oreos. I am kinda disappointed with my visit here today and the lack of customer service skills. If you don't know how to make a drink, just say that. And I honestly don't think that I should have to pay for something that I didn't order, especially considering how expensive...

I went in the store today and had the absolute worst service I’ve ever received anywhere. It was a young guy and girl and they were so rude to myself and numerous other customers. Somebody spilled their drink in the mall and asked for some paper towels to clean it up, so he gave her 3 paper towels and handed her the wet floor sign. When I was told they “weren’t allowed” to make my drink I was looking at the menu for something else and the girl at the register told me if I’m not ready then I need to move so she can help someone else. After getting my drink the guy yelled to everyone in the store that “we’ll be closing in 5 minutes because we’ve been there all day and need a break. And anyone in here just hanging out needs to get out” this was at 2:30, on a Sunday. When the mall opens at 11 on Sunday. I was in the Maine Mall, desperately searching for somewhere that would have hot water to warm up a bottle for my newborn - having forgotten my thermos at home. The owner (who, from the reviews, must be Ram) was kind enough to set me up with hot water in a metal pitcher that was the perfect size for my bottle. He was so kindhearted, not even giving me an option to leave a tip on the payment screen. And the raspberry boba tea was excellent.
