I recently had the pleasure of dining at the new Yucatan food restaurant in our city South San Francisco, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of delightful. The restaurant's ambiance is inviting and authentic, transporting you to the heart of Yucatan.

I had the Panuchos, which were a taste of pure Yucatecan delight. The flavors were on point, and I could almost imagine myself in Yucatan with each bite. To accompany my meal, I had a unique and delicious drink (even though I can't recall its name) that perfectly complemented the flavors of the dishes.

The restaurant truly excels in bringing the authentic Yucatecan taste to our city. If you're looking for a genuine culinary journey to Yucatan, this restaurant is a must-visit. I'll definitely be returning to explore more of...

This place is just great! From the quick attention you get right when you walk in to the drinks it is great all around. The service is efficient & friendly. My server was on it & helped me pick what to eat since I couldn’t decide. Everything looks good. I went with the plate that let’s you pick three options. Everything was tasty but the pork tamal was soooo good. Star of the show. They have a spicy habanero salsa that actually has flavor & is still pretty spicy. Margaritas are strong & flavorful too! For sure will be back. Location is in a great place. I always shop at La Tapatía which is only a block down but now I have to go here right after my shopping...

I’ve reviewed this place for dinner and today was our first time for breakfast.

This may be the best breakfast menu south of San Francisco before you hit the much fancier peninsula towns. And even there Cochinita would hold its own with lines out the door on weekends.

Everything was perfectly executed and fresh, a strong diversity of options for people who like a more simple traditional breakfast to those looking for what Cochinita is known for. Extremely friendly service in comfortable stylish surrounds. Delicious coffee, agua Fresca, or cocktails depending on your brunch approach.

This place should be swarming for brunch....

Went here on a Tuesday night so we were able to get a table immediately. The pumpkin seed dip was savory with some spice and heat that wasn’t overwhelming. I personally would have preferred more cucumber and jicama. The tasting platter is a nice option if you aren’t familiar with the Maya regional cuisine. It’s meant for 3-4 people, my boyfriend and I were really full between the two of us and there were leftovers. The highlights were the panucho, the cochinita pool and the poc chuc.

The restaurant has a really fun vibe, we enjoyed the tacos, drinks and chips and salsa. Service was exceptional. The creamy tomato spaghetti in the kids menu was a surprising option considering it’s a Mexican place but it was really comforting and we enjoyed it as well. The only disappointing part was Flan which was hard and overcooked and the prices being on the higher side for what we got. But it’s a fun place and we’ll be back for the food we enjoyed!
