Tasty and unique house sushi rolls! They're expensive, but not beyond what is reasonable in a location like Park City.
We started with the gyoza. They were unlike any other I'd had - they had a very thin wrapper that was fried to the point of almost being cracker-like. They tasted good but were quite tiny. I don't think they are worth the cost because of this.
We tried two veggie and two blue rolls. Both veggie rolls (Cashew Clay and King Kong) were excellent! I would order both again. The Cashew Clay had a surprising and pleasant bright flavor due to the lime slices. The King Kong was the closest thing I think I've had to a "dessert" sushi. It is one of the most unique things I've eaten in a while. If you're thinking you might like it you should try it! It was the favorite roll of my entire group.
For the blue rolls, we had the Mike Thai Son and Jenny From The Block. I loved the fusion flavors of the first ones and the pieces I had with a lot of the Thai basil were the best. The latter one almost tasted like a complete meal with the salmon and asparagus. I'd recommend both!
Restaurant was pretty empty during the lunch hour on a Tuesday. Despite this, service/kitchen was sadly still slow to get food out. Restaurant smelled slightly fishy when we walked it. Everything we ate was super-fresh so it didn't indicate any problems with the food. But, it's not the first...
Read moreI make my best attempt to understand that some experiences aren't as up to par because of certain circumstances, but I feel like ours was no exception. We ordered a to go order of 3 hand rolls off the lunch special and one regular special roll, the Hustler. It still took over half an hour for them to make the order even after witnessing that we were the only ones waiting on an order at the time. I understand that sushi craft typically can be time consuming, but for what little we ordered, it just seemed like there was no concept of time. Not only that, but we were charged the $10 on the hand rolls instead of the $5. I understand that we all make mistakes, so this was not a big deal, but even after the mistake was corrected, they charged us for sauces that we requested and didn't provide them. Considering the Hustler roll we ordered was $17, I was hoping the overall outcome would be satisfying, but the roll looked like it was literally tossed in the box, and horribly cut. I understand that you are compromising plate presentation when ordering carry out, but I felt cheated paying so much for a roll that was a mess. I was so thrilled to have my first experience with Sushi Blue, but surprised and bummed of the...
Read moreGood evening everyone, I leave you my opinion about this restaurant “SUSHI BLUE”. We went to dinner with my father, my brother and my girlfriend. To begin with, the reception was very unserious. The sushi was creepy, the rice fell apart which made it impossible to eat and the drinks I couldn't try as unfortunately I forgot my passport by mistake at the hotel. To clarify, I am 30 years old, to my good fortune I had a photo of my passport and my visa to show you, but I am not enough! I understand that they are strict in these situations in the state of Utah, but when the manager came to try to "solve" the matter in a very rude way, he explained to me that he is not interested in giving me good service, but in keeping his license to "sell alcohol" ”, none had the empathy to understand my bad luck of forgetting my physical passport. The least I expected was an apology for what happened. To make matters worse, the service was disastrous, they rushed us to place the order after asking for the tickets they got angry for not leaving them a tip. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT AT ALL, excessively high prices, very bad sushi, unpleasant service and a rude, arrogant and inoperative...
