Recently went into this BestBuy to setup a single AT&T line because I was moving to a new location where my current provider wouldn't work. A week later I am back in town, after finding out my current provider expanded their network and they now offer service for me, I decided to return my AT&T device within the return window. The return and cancellation process was not fast by any means. I made the mistake of coming in about 30 minutes prior to closing one night, and found nothing could be done until the next day. I come back the next day to return the device, which took about 45 minutes. I was promptly refunded for my case, screen protector, and any fees and such charged by BestBuy. I was told my phone deposit would be returned within 2 months, mind you a $209 deposit. I waited a week to see if a refund had posted to my cc, nothing showed up, so I contacted AT&T to see how things were running. AT&T had no record of my $209 deposit, or a refund to be issued. I was prompted by AT&T to return to the POS where I paid, and so I returned to the BestBuy. The person who took care of my return 'assumed' they had punched in my cc info directly to AT&T. Even though it was shown that I was clearly charged at the POS on my receipt for my transaction. Did I mention too that when I first walked out of the store with my new phone, I got home only to find a sim card hadn't been inserted? Another 'assumption' I was told. A lot of 'assuming' going on at this store that has...

They had an "open box - good" Sony TV marked down from 1200 to 370. We live in SLC and called ahead because obviously it sounded too good to be true. When my boyfriend called to ask about the condition, a woman answered the phone and told him someone had taken it out of the box and decided they didn't want it, that it was in perfect condition. She then tried to pressure him into buying it over the phone, stating there was only one and they couldn't hold it. We obviously said no thank you and we would come check it out.
We drove up to Park City, and literally no one offered to help us, we couldn't even flag somebody down to get answers about this tv. It's not like they were super busy either. My boyfriend found the open box Sony on the sales floor, and the screen was separating from the bezel all along the top of the TV. Broken. Not sellable. Like, that's not even fair condition. We knew it was a risk driving up there but that's why we called ahead to get an idea of the condition. Because of the lack of customer service on top of the lying, we decided to go to the Best buy in South salt lake and buy a new Sony TV for 800. They lost out on a sale and commission. They obviously don't care or want it. Do not...
Read moreDisappointing, but not entirely their fault. The sales staff and the Geek Squad guy did everything they could. I bought an open box Samsung tablet that I then couldn't log into, because it hadn't been restored to factory settings. Geek Squad couldn't fix it (not their fault). But they had no new-in-box options on the tablet I wanted, and were not inclined (or, more likely, authorized) to offer me any kind of discount on the next model up. I get that deliveries have been delayed (having the same problem at my store), but in the mean time I am stuck waiting "usually 24-48 hours" for a refund. Again, not the fault of the store's employees, but very frustrating. It is unlikely I will be returning there soon, unless I have literally no other options...😕 Side note: I found the same tablet at the local Walmart, new-in-box, for $10 less than Best Buy would have charged me for one in that condition. The sales guy had no clue about details, but if you know what you want/need, you might want to check there first.
Sorry to the Best Buy guys who tried to help me. I do not blame you...this is likely a problem that arose at the corporate level, not the local...
