if i could give this zupas 0 stars i would. i just barley came in with a few friends and even from the first interaction the worker was so rude and had an unpleasant look on his face as he was taking my friends order. He then proceeded to not ask her if it was for here or to go and when she realized they where putting her food on a plate and said “oh actually that was to go” they visibly got annoyed and he continued to sigh and roll his eyes at her. Is it not your job to ask when you’re taking her order?? i understand she could have said it sooner but i would say it was partially his fault and the way he reacted was so rude. i continued to order and once again he didn’t ask if it was for here or to go so i made sure to say to go before he started making my food. he started making my salad and put 4 pieces of chicken on my salad, so i asked for more and when i did ask for more which i was willing to pay for once again the second worker sighed and looked around at her other co workers as if she was confused and i stood there feeling so awkward. my friend infront of me got to the cash register and the worker set the register and walked away but didn’t ask her if she was paying with cash or card so when he came back to see that she hadn’t payed he visibly became annoyed and said it’s going to be 14.09 and she said i know but i’m paying with cash. And he sighed and started aggressively pressing the buttons on the pin pad trying to reset the register and when she asked to use her app once again he was annoyed he had to reset the register. Everytime iv gone to zupas they ask if i’ll be using my app today and i understand that it might have been annoying for him to have to reset it twice but he could have asked in the first place to prevent that. When i got up to pay he didn’t ask anything just set the register and walked away again, i payed and he didn’t come back until i left. i decided to just leave because i’m not going to argue with poor service. i’m writing this review in hopes that their attitude can change for future customers because not only where they being rude they made me and my friends feel so unwelcomed and as if what we where asking for was too much when it was just simple customer service. forgot to mention that as we walked away the coworkers kept looking at eachother and glaring at us and sort of giggling as we walked away but then again that could just be an assumption still snarky though. do better or learn...
Read moreI came in at lunch time and there was a semi-long line, but it moved very quickly. I ordered a combo with half soup and half salad. One of the employees started making my salad and I was moved on down to the soups. I requested that the employee put my soup in a child’s soup cup because I didn’t want the same portion that normally comes in the combo. I wanted less soup. The employee said that it would be the same price and I told her that was totally fine and I appreciated her serving me a smaller portion. I was then moved on to the next employee who said the prior employee was “not allowed” to put my soup in a kids cup. I told her it was fine, I had requested it that way and I was going to pay for the regular portion. She then proceeded to argue with me and tell me that she would resolve the issue by dumping the soup in a larger container. I asked her not to do this as I did not want to see the original container go to waste. I try to be eco conscious when possible and this to me seemed like a complete waste for no reason. She continued to argue with me and dumped the soup into a new container anyways and threw away the original. I then asked for no strawberry and the same employee all but threw the bread into the container without any wrapper while smirking and proceeded to whisper to another employee and glance in my direction as I attempted to check out. I was visibly upset at this point and finally at the cashier station. The employee here, on auto pilot, looked at my soup and said this is way under portioned (which it was because I had asked for it that way!!), but before I could stop her she had taken the soup out and was halfway back down the assembly line to fill it up some more. After a few seconds I was able to get the cashier’s attention and explained to her (the third person I had to explain this to now) that I just wanted less soup. This is just another very disappointing experience at this Cafe Zupa's location and leaves me seriously questioning whether I want to support this...
Read moreSuch disappointing service at Zupas in Park City last night. After we waited in line for over 1/2 an hour, we finally stepped up to the counter to order 2 grilled cheese sandwiches and 3 kids meals. I greeted the guy at the counter and informed him that our order would be to-go. Without returning the greeting he asked me how many orders I have. I answered 5, since I was ordering 5 items. He looked at me like I had just told him that a meteor was hurtling towards Earth and responded "5??? Are you kidding me?" A bit surprised by his reaction, I explained that it was all being paid for together, so if that's what he meant by how many orders, then it's only one order just 5 items. Again he just looked at me with shock and disgust at the very notion that anyone could possibly have 5 people that they were ordering for. His very rude response to my attempt to explain the order was, "How many orders? Seriously 5 orders?" I asked him if it was unusual for someone to order 5 things. At this point he grumpily grabbed 5 to-go boxes, sighed a sigh that could have brought down the very mountain we were standing on, and rudely said, "Well we're just super busy right now so it would be nice if large orders are called ahead". He then angrily took my order and moved me along down the line to the soup station. As I walked away, still feeling bewildered that a family of 5 should call their order in ahead of time instead of deciding at the last minute what they might want to eat like any normal family, he rolled his eyes and mumbled something to the sandwich guy about "5 orders". To top it off, our food was not very good, the soups were filled up less than I've ever seen at another location, and the dining area was not very clean. I definitely will not be visiting this...
