Before I check out - I want to complete my review. On Friday - June 9th I was almost checked in (2 nights only) by Cathy. She was rude, disrespectful and most of all... unprofessional.
The process was going well as expected until I asked Cathy why she gave me a bill for two nights when I already paid for the first night (per the "written" disclosure when I booked on THIS hotel's website). It's written that this is a mandatory requirement which I was actually uncomfortable with as plans tend to change sometimes and I would be out the money and have hell trying to get it refunded.
But... I booked the room anyway and crossed my fingers.
Cathy with much attitude told me that my CC wasn't charged and this hotel doesn't do business that way by charging in advance. Really?!
I tried to explain my case while asking genuine questions for clarification (for future visits). She talked over me to continue telling me that I was wrong. She claimed that I booked through some other website... not theirs. Wrong.
Still.. I am trying to understand what went wrong here and how to avoid this next time.
She was clearly impatient with the huffing and puffing and letting out loud sighs as I tried to further inquire. Finally.. I told her that I would just call my CC company to find out what happened as I did not want to over-pay and then be at their mercy for my refund.
When another female employee walks up behind the front desk.. Cathy (still with attitude and lots of eye-rolling) proceeds to loudly whisper in her ear to say that I am BS'ing about paying for the room. She tells her that I am CLAIMING to have already paid for the first night.
She's a crude individual with no tact or class.
Cathy spent a few minutes whispering in her ear as I stood right in front of them... Well, I'm speechless. I've never been treated so rudely to my face. The unprofessionalism here is downright appalling.
The management of this establishment needs to train Cathy in proper customer service, building her character, how to be professional and courteous as well as patient and understanding.
Otherwise - I only see her fit to mop the floors here, clean the bathrooms, etc.. so that she doesn't interact with paying customers. Many of whom are already jet-lagged only to deal with the likes of someone like Cathy.
On a high note - Liz (front desk) was a gem to work with. She was totally professional each time, caring and attentive. ...

We were only going to stay two nights, because of how clean, beautiful grounds, generous , friendly humble and kind staff........WE STAYED A WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND WE ARE COMING FOR WINTER BREAK FOR TWO WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If it was not for the incredible staff here at the Best Western Landmark hotel in Park , City, we would not come back... It is and was the employees and amazing hospitality this place offers. Cindy in sales is amazing and works with her clients with love, patience and respect. Kyler is the sweetest, most funny and helpful . We love Kyler! Liz is so hardworking! Amazing spirit and inspirational work ethic. Jeff in night shift is a pleasant to be around and talk to. Very nice and friendly. Cody!! Yay Cody! What incredible manners and patience with out a doubt. I was talking his cute little ears off and he just let me ramble on. That alone deserves a nobel peace prize. lol Kyler got Evan from heaven and I to float down the Weber River. Yes Sir! And we loved the town of Morgan. Thank you Ky that town is full of great people ! We even got to eat at his favorite place Taggards!!!!!! The best! We were only going to stay for a couple days , but because of the amazing staff and beautifully kept hotel.........WE STAYED A WEEK AND WE ARE COMING FOR CHRISTMAS BREAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BECAUSE OF YOUR AMAZING STAFF AND CREW. Please also acknowledge the cooks ! I don't know their names but I will say one of the guys is Spanish and the other Filipino and they were so fun! Hardworking! Kind! Great food and service. Actually! Can you all take a photo for Evan and I and send it. We miss you guys. I wish we could all float down the Weber River on Ice maybe? Read moreMy wife and I purchased the jacuuzi suite for 2 days for my birthday. We checked in slightly later in the evening and we were looking forward to taking a bath and relaxing. Unfortunately the plug at the bottom of the tub wouldn't seal properly and the tub wouldn't hold water. We called the front desk and explained to them the issue. They said they would send someone to fix it. Over a half an hour later they arrived to "fix" the plug. After 10 minutes or so of tinkering around they said it was fixed. We ran the water and tried to fill the tub. It got a little less than half way full and then began to drain almost as quickly. We reported this to the front desk again and they said they would come and fix it again. When they arrived they said they were going to replace the plug itself. By now its getting late and all we want to do is take a bath and relax. We rund the water again and fill the tub. After less than 5 minutes into our bath the new plug fails and the water completely drains. We call the front desk again and we were told to call the manager in the morning. The next morning they replaced the plug with a different style that allowed it to seal. When my wife complained to the manager that we basically lost a whole night without being able to use the jacuuzi all he said was he was "sorry". My wife explained that they needed to do something to rectify it. All he did was give us a $30 credit. He then had the nerve to send my wife a survey. My wife filled out the survey with honest remarks about our dissatisfaction and we were told it would be sent to upper management. We never heard back. Then to make matters worse, when we were finally able to use the tub, much to our extreme frustration, the new plug would seal correctly but wouldnt stay open to drain.
