Jan 6, 2023: I came to this store and talked to Joseph H. I added a tablet to my plan. Joseph told me a promo was going on in which I would be given an $800 trade in credit to trade my Samsung S21 for a Samsung S22 Ultra. He told me to hang on to the trade for a few days so that I was sure I got all my data off the old phone and onto the new, then I could turn it in at any Victra store. For the record, my invoice number is UT008IN35312. Also: Joseph was GREAT.
Jan 7, 2023: I drive for a living. I'm now hundreds of miles north, in Redding, California. I turned in my trade to Ryan H (Invoice number CA157IN59231). The trade in came up as $144, instead of the $800 promo amount. I was told to call back to the store in Park City and have them do PCA paperwork to get the promo. I called and talked to Melissa (who I've since learned is an assistant manager). She was very rude to me and said she was too busy to do the paperwork and I'd need to call back later. I explained to her that I only have 24 hours off each week, lots of things to do in that time period, and don't have time to keep following up on THEIR promise. They were quick to take the money, but when a little effort is needed to get me what was promised, she wants to push me off? She then told me the rep at the Redding store was lazy and hung up on me.
The Redding store agent called his manager to verify that Park City is who should do the paperwork. He is correct. He's not lazy, he's doing what should be done. Melissa was SO unprofessional and should not advance further in her career,...
Read moreThis is not a Verizon corporate store. Their focus seems to be on winning sales contests and not ensuring the customers get what they need. I wanted the latest Wifi device (Jetpack) and was offered a device that's been discontinued at Verizon and is inferior to what Verizon offers in their own stores. With some fast footwork they got me to buy the inferior device which I returned a few days later, after doing some research on the web. They also extended my data contract for 2 years, even though I paid for the device in full and was promised that the contract would not be affected. This to me breached the line of unethical business behavior. They also charge fees that a Verizon corporate store does not levy, e.g. the set-up-and-go charge. This was not mentioned at time of purchase. The transaction deserves one star, however I did appreciate them taking everything back with little fuss, even while I lost $20 for the silly set-up-and-go fee. After this experience, I went to a corporate Verizon store. They had the latest device and activated it without additional fees. Lesson for me: If at all possible, only go to a Verizon owned store to avoid getting taking...
Read moreYour average internet user (myself included) could easily assume this is an official store. It is not, of course, and the individuals working there lack the expertise, skill, knowledge and even barest interest in the customer to deliver anything resembling good "service." They will sell you a phone and could not care for you a second after. I purchased a phone as a gift and stressed multiple times to the employee that I needed it to be a surprise; two days later I discovered that necessary steps to make this happen were not taken and the surprise was ruined. Since it's the year 2022, and we can put average Americans in space, you would think that a store that exclusively works for Verizon and only sells phones could pull off such an apparently tremendous feat - but, alas, they cannot. The lack of concern or care on their part - the associate actually laughed when informed of their abject failure - sealed the deal. I don't often regret going places, but I have to say I'm embarassed I ever set foot...
