Wow! Seriously, if I could give it less than one star, I would.
We stopped to get a couple of double cheeseburgers and a value meal. We had a slightly longer than normal wait to get to the pickup window, time but no big deal. Our order wasn't ready and we were asked to pull up and wait. There were two other cars ahead off us that seemed to be in the same situation already waiting.
20-25 minutes later, still no food. By this time the other cars ahead of us had already got theirs and left. The door to the lobby was locked and appeared to be closed. We had to go through the drive thru again, which was another 10 minutes or so wait. Finally get to the window and explain what had happened and then the confusion started. Initially we were again asked to pull up and potentially wait. Then there was a employee inside going off about not having any fries made while our situation was going on. There was some more back and forth with the employees and the order for the car behind us was taken apart and used to fill our order.
Finally, we are given the bag with our food (keep in mind this has taken about 40 minutes so far) and we left. Never was there even as much as an apology, any direct management involvement, or any sort of show of empathy for the lacking customer experience.
I have a significant amount of experience with working in the food service industries. I can say, this is not how to deal with a situation like this. Almost an hour of wait time is completely unexcusable, especially considering the lobby seemed to be closed and this was conducted through the drive thru.
Also, to have people inside loosing their cool and going off about not having fries, doesn't move the line. Parking orders, to reduce times, without making sure those orders are fulfilled, isn't the way either. The biggest issue had to be no management intervention and /or direct interaction with the customer in a situation like this. That gives me a moment of pause. A situation like this should directly dictate the need for a manager to voluntarily involve themselves to help maintain (or salvage) the customer experience.
It's understandable that mishaps happen. It's how those situations are dealt with that makes or breaks the customer...
Read moreMcdonalds, inspite of most peoples' assumptions regarding fast food places, are each whole-heartedly unique and as such present their own sets of challenges. This one's are that I could not tell you are the risk of my own life why anyone thought it was a good idea to put a restaurant in this location. It is unreasonably hard to get in and out of and the line of traffic inevitably spills out onto the main road. I'm not trying to get hit by a car waiting in line for my M&M Mcflurry thanks. The last few times I've been here the wait has been a little long too. Like it took a good 20 minutes to get through maybe 3 cars. The real shining light here however, as you may have guessed from my 4 star review, is that they have only ONCE in the past two years had their ice cream machine not working. Furthermore, one time after a particularly long day in which I had faced the likelihood of breaking into tears a multitude of times, on the verge of crying yet again I can here to get myself a, you guessed it, M&M Mcflurry, but upon ordering they uttered words I'll never forget: "Sorry our mixer is broken." And for a moment I felt myself staring down a precipice of spiraling depression and a full on nervous breakdown, but just as my brain had decided that this was indeed my darkest day they came back on the drive through speaker and a voice said "Actually someone offered to mix it by hand." And while I never got to meet the angel who deliver this miraculous gesture of good will onto me I hope they know they touched my life and I will never...

So my husband paid 50$ for the food and the lady working their was a older black short lady and she LEANED ONTO THE COUNTER..LITERALLY 3 INCHES OVER MY FOOD BAGS AND PROCEEDED TO COUGH VIOLENTLY 3 TIMES INTO MY BAG, THEN THROWS NAPKINS INTO THE BAG AND TRIED TO HAND IT TO US....MY HUSBAND FLIPPED OUT...VERY UPSET AS ANY ONE WOULD BE WITNESSING THAT. THE WORKERS BECAME VERY RUDE AND OBNOXIOUS BC MY HUSBAND DEMANDDD NEW FOOD AND SAID EVEN CHILDREN KNKW HOW TO COVER THEIR MOUTHES, LET ALONE LEAN ONTO COUNTERS ABOVE PPLS FOOD & THAT HE DIDNT PAY $50 TO GET SICK. OVERHEARD WORKERS SAYING OH WELL HE WILL GET OVER IT...AS THEY HID TO REPACK FOOD BAGS. WHO DOES THIS? IVE NEVER HAD A WORSE EXPERIENCE W MCDONALDS AND IM WRITING/CALLING CORPORATE OFFICE. THERES NO REASON WE WERE FREATED THE WAY WE WERE. THE ENTIRE ORDER WAS SLOPPY AND WRONG. A WASTE OF...
