My wife and I really loved the prime rib at this location recently and came back for it again but there was an unfortunate mishap in the kitchen, and they had run out of the prime rib and didn't find out until late into our meal on this recent occasion. I wanted to take a moment to leave a review for the service we received because the management and our server showed such compassion and understanding that we were absolutely floored by the experience. I would HIGHLY recommend this location, because they handled the disappointing circumstance with so much patience and understanding. My wife and I do not like to complain when the food comes out less than what we were hoping for, but the staff at this Outback location could tell we weren't happy and came back with one of the best Filet Mignon steaks we'd ever had. Just one bite and my wife's facial expression COMPLETELY changed. The staff at this Outback really cares about its customers and they made sure that we ended up with a meal we were really happy with despite circumstances with availability that were out of their control. I ended up with a new favorite after this experience, just an absolutely phenomenal filet. It was tender and juicy inside with a lightly crisp char on the outside, and bursting with flavor in every bite as it was cooked to perfection. Two managers came to check on us to make sure we were happy with the substitution, and we never really outwardly complained! I am truly floored by the experience of an entire restaurant staff that really cares about its customers. The food we ended up with really left an impression and the service was so outstanding that the entire experience ended up making our whole week feel better. Read moreWe've been to this particular Outback 4 times over the last 3 years. I have finally learned it lesson and will not return in the future. We went last month for our daughter's high school graduation dinner, and it was a nightmare. It was a Thursday at 4:00, it wasn't a busy time. There were only a handful of other diners in the place. We had a party of 5 adults and 2 toddler's. Had to ask for a highchair, twice. Then had to ask our server to stop putting hot food and full glasses in front of a toddler, twice. Like warning me the plates are very hot and setting it right in front of a 2 year old. 3 of our meals were wrong or something was missing, 2 steaks were over cooked and we had to flag down a server who wasn't ours to complain about it after waiting 23 minutes for her to check back and see if everything was ok. Upon flagging him down, we learned that our server had to leave for a family issue and that we would get someone new shortly. We were still left with incorrect orders and nobody seemed to care that we were sitting there not eating for almost 30 minutes at this point. 10 minutes later, we get our new server and he starts taking plates and replacing the incorrect food. This guy is really good at his job, very hospitable... but kinda like dealing with a used car salesman at the same time. He talks so much and so fast that you can't get a word in, so why bother at that point. All in all, we were there for 2.5 hours with not very good food, half of what we ate was cold since we were waiting for so long. The manager came by and apologized. Certainly didn't take anything off of our $214.00 bill. I will not go back and it's a shame. We lived in Tyler, Texas for a few years and we frequented The Outback there...
