April 2022 Update
What a negative experience. Stopped in for lunch and the place was almost completely empty. There were maybe five or six table occupied. As soon as we walked in we saw various staff members walking by the host table and all of them looked at us, but moved on to take care of whatever their tasks were. None acknowledged our existence.
About 7 or 8 minutes later, just as we decided to go somewhere else, the hostess - Bre - showed up, and without any kind of apology asked how many we were (??) then studied her seating map for a minute or two and then led us to a table.
The saving grace was the waitress who came right over. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and on top of her game. She checked on us frequently and took care of every request very quickly. For instance, I tried their Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, and when I commented on it being very mild, she quickly arranged to get me a different hot sauce to spice things up. Part of the problem with my sandwich was that there was only a little tiny bit of sauce on this monster chicken breast. It pooled in some crevices, but most of the fried area was dry. It still was not spicy which disappointed me.
The other sandwich we tried was the brisket. This was nicely done in a sweet BBQ sauce. We upgraded from their small fries to potato wedges and onion rings. The rings were greasy, but did feature some onions, while the wedges were nicely done but had too much salt in the mix. For the rest of the day, the two of us were gulping down water glasses like they were going out of style.
Unfortunately, the kitchen had its own set of problems. While the place was mostly empty, our dishes came out about 6 minutes apart. We almost finished eating one before the second arrived! Luckily we were always planning on sharing both, so it was not an issue for us, but what could have caused that?
So, to summarize, if it was not for the great waitress, the place would have gotten a one star rating.
Sports bar atmosphere and food with lots of tvs showing games. Staff is friendly. Food is...
Read moreOn 10/5/24, my husband and I entered the BW3s at 50 Old Mill Blvd., Washington, PA 15301-6740 around 6 pm and were seated within a few minutes. It took a while for the server to get to us, but she apologized for the wait and took our drink and dinner order then. Around 6:40, we realized that we had been at our table a long time and didn't have any food, so when we spotted our server, we called her over. I said, "It seems like it's been a long time since we placed our order. I was wondering ..." I said it politely, just curious if something had happened. She got defensive and started with, "Well, if you were in the kitchen, you would see that we're really behind. Like by 20 tickets. So it will be a while." I was taken aback but assumed she was just overwhelmed with a lot of tables. For a Saturday night, the restaurant wasn't packed, but maybe they were understaffed. Another 20 minutes went by, so my husband went to find a manager. While he was waiting on the manager, my food was brought to the table. The woman who brought it out said the rest would be right out. I picked up a fry because I was starving and had a headache from not eating by this point. It was room temperature. So were my wings. They had clearly been just sitting around in the kitchen. I left the table and told my husband, and we decided that we would just leave once we talked to the manager. Finally, the manager came over to talk to us, and we explained what happened. He seemed defensive too. We were polite about the issue, but I didn't get any remorse from the staff. We walked out. I completely understand why the tables weren't filled on a Saturday night.
I used to go to the BW3s in Morgantown constantly when I was in college in the late 1990s/early 2000s, and it was great. The food was always hot and delicious. The lines were always out the door. We were hoping for the same thing at the Washington, PA, location, but after Saturday night, I doubt we...
Read moreCame in on a Saturday night with my boyfriend and got on the wait list, as expected. Was seated in a reasonable amount of time and sat at our table waiting to be greeted by our server. She came by and asked what we wanted to drink and walked away after we told her without getting the change to tell her an appetizer. When she came back she asked for our order, we have her our appetizer and asked to try a sauce sample. The manager brought the sample by with a small serving of fries to dip with. When our server came back we were out of water and had tried to ask her for more but once again, she left as soon as she arrived and didn't get the chance to mention it. Our food was brought out within a decent time and everything was correct and tasty. At this point we still didn't have any water so we proceeded to ask a nearby server for some since ours was no where to be seen. When we finished eating our server came by with the bill and boxes for us and left without listening to our request for a bag. We felt like a "drop it and go", waste of time to her the entire night. We also noticed that on our bill that we were charged .80¢ for our sample sauces and fries. Now I don't have a problem that we were charged for a sample, especially when its that little of an amount, but when I pointed it out to our server because we were unaware of the cost, she rudely replied with "um okay, what am I supposed to do about it" and proceeded to tell us there was "literally no was she could have told us there was a cost". Like seriously? I'm not mad that we were charged I just wanted to be made aware of it. I very much enjoy the food at any BWW, but I was extremely disappointed with the quality of service I received on a...
