So, me and my guy decided to go here for date night. We walked in (around 5:30p) on a Thursday and the place pretty empty. We spotted 3 females , whom we assumed were waitresses, across the room. We were a bit concerned that they may not be open. As we walked further in looking confused we weren't greeting or anything. We eventually walked all the way over to the ladies and they still said NOTHING. Just looked at us, as they had been since we entered. I asked if they were open and one finally opened her mouth to say they were and to sit anywhere. We took our seats and shortly one of the 3 ladies appeared with menus and to tell us our waitress would be over. Another one of the 3, a pregnant young lady, made her way to us. Let me just say she acted unengaged, unconcerned and unfriendly. Me and my guy both noticed and KNEW our service wasn't going to be that great. We weren't wrong. We placed our order and she disappeared. People started trickling in. We saw a group of guys who came in after us get their drinks and food. Ok..Maybe they ordered light although we ordered an appetizers sampler and a Philly cheesesteak sandwich and onion rings. While we were waiting on our food a guy was setting up a speaker near our table. My guy asked if he was setting up for karaoke? The guy said that he was setting up for SINGO and explained it to us and invited us to participate. There were prizes attached to the game and it was simple enough. A music version of bingo. Our food came and it looked delicious. The portions were nice and we both were enjoying. We also decided to stay for singo and had a ball!! Neither of us won but we enjoyed playing. The host of the game was fun and friendly and down to earth (as the rest of the staff should have been). Speaking of staff, we had to ask for the waitress who never came back to check on us, our drinks or anything. Now I did mention she was pregnant but that was not an excuse to not do your job. When it was time to pat, she showed with a hand held device to do so. She took the card and scanned it and then turned the device to the tip page. I think not. The cook ca get a tip, the entertainment can get a tip but this young lady did absolutely nothing to add to our dining experience. I am going to divert for a minute. You KNOW you work for tips so why wouldn't you at least offer the bare minimum of customer service. Smile.. Be friendly. Talk. Maybe my standards are too much. I'm back!. Overall me and my guy enjoyed ourselves. (We try to make the best out of things, plus we just enjoy being with each other). Food 🔥. Entertainment/ staff 🔥 but if I based it on the waitress only 🚮. Give it a try. Just 🤞🏽that your waitress want to be there that day.

Okay. So we sat down & waited like 15 mins for someone to come serve us. A waitress finally came and gave us 3 menus & said nothing. We were like, "is she going to introduce herself, or even take the drink orders?" She just sat them down in front of us. Anyways, so, we waited 6 more minutes & she showed back up & said, "y'all know what y'all want?" I asked, "what's your name?" She said, "Quanisha." We ordered, & just waited on our food. She never came back to check on us. I get my fish & onion rings, mind you, they charge over $17 for this ish, & the fish was not done on the inside. I had to flag down Quanisha to send the food back. I didn't take the picture because I spit it out. Anyways, the Long Island Iced Tea was good, but everything else was terrible. Just look at how my food came out. 😩 Oh, & the tartar sauce..... don't get me started. I'm never going back.

Fox & Hound. Craft Republic. And now…. Champps. The name changes and the menu revamps are falling flat. Over the almost 20 years this establishment has existed, I’ve only patronized it a few times. This week, I was reminded why. As a previous poster shared, the employees looked as though they didn’t want to be there. Well said! On Thursday in the midst of patrons galore coming in to watch the NCAA tournament, the overall execution of the staff was less than stellar. Sizeable waits for food. Even longer waits for drinks. In the span of 3+ hours that I was there, I was only able to be served 1 drink. From a business building standpoint, that was a miss. Did it come as a surprise that patrons would gather to see the basketball game?

I declined on drinking my coffee because when I tested it from my spoon, it tasted like whiskey, AND the cup had "lip-n-drip" marks on the outside of the cup. I didn't complain to the meal server about the "lip-decorum" on the "whiskey-tainted-coffee" cup because my lunch plate came in 7 minutes. I immediately set the tartar sauce aside from the plate because it had bits of ketchup and cole slaw in it (I didn't complain because the server mentioned that the cole slaw was next to the tarter sauce and it somwtimes splashes into the tarter sauce). After blessing my plate, I picked up a soggy fish piece that had been pulled apart from the batter. So I put it down. I picked another piece of fish and saw that it was already bitten... I decided not to add my own bite to that poor fish piece. Giving up on the fish, I looked thru my wilted fries and decided to call my plate "repurchased" or "re-sent" or "reused." I showed the server whose quality customer service preceded the "re-purposed" plate. His dedication to quality kept me in my seat (and all the other restaurants in that area had people standing in long lines waiting for a table). Within 15 minutes after taking away my "twice-served plate," the excellent server brought a freshly cooked plate of "my own delicious fish and chips" and treated like a real "first-time" customer. He also brought me good-fresh coffee in a CLEAN cup. I just couldn't find it in my heart to leave my normal 20-25% tip (I only gave 10% tip), and I won't go back to that restaurant for lunch. I think it's more of a sports bar with fun activities and a grill that serves the BEST fish...

Thought my wife and I along with another couple would try a new place. The outside said "New name same great food". What a joke.! We went on a Thursday night and the place was empty with a dozen or so patrons. A server sat us down at a table and after watching the manager or bartender talk to some friends at the next table for 10 to 15 minutes, he finally came over and took our order. One item we ordered was some potato shins, smallest potatoes I've have ever served. Not worth the money, flavorless, very little cheese 2 or three pieces of bacon... nuff said. I ordered a cheeseburger rare and my wife ordered the chicken strips. The cooks must have thought we were God's my cheeseburger was carbon over easy and my wife's chicken was just shy of a burnt offering. The waffle frys where overcooked..."crunchy" our friends dinners where also sub-par and did not finish their meals. Not once did anyone come by and ask if anything was OK. There where other servers walking around but not busy. Aftet waiting another 20 minutes after trying to finish what we could eat I was able to flag down our waiter and asked for our check. At that time I made mention of my wife's food, he did offer to get a new order but that was too late. They did take it off our tab. So in general, you get only one first impression in life and this was not a good one. Unless they fix their kitcken, staff, customer-oriented service, we wont be...
