Evergreen Bar & Grill/Fuddruckers — Restaurant in Southfield

Came here on a Friday at 6:30 with friends to celebrate our birthdays. The place is super small. Tables were too close together. We were packed in there like sardines. It took so long to get food and drinks. I wanted a baked potato and they were out. Our waitress kept disappearing for long periods of time. I had to remind her TWICE that I ordered a margarita and she still didn’t bring it. I ended up going to the bar and ordering myself. While I was at the bar, I noticed a margarita had been sitting so long, the ice had melted. When I got back to my table, the waitress FINALLY brought me the watered down margarita that was sitting on the bar. It had salt on the rim. Despite me saying I didn’t want salt or sugar. I would’ve sent it back but I knew it would take 30 minutes for another one. When she brought my bill I noticed I was charged full price for the margarita instead of the happy hour price. I ordered the drink DURING happy hour and when she “remembered” to bring it, happy hour was conveniently over. I honestly feel that was done intentionally to increase my bill and gratuity. This is why I don’t like establishments with automatic gratuity. I tip at least 25% when the service is good. Being forced to tip even when you receive bad service is unacceptable. Evergreen Bar & Grill in Southfield (the old Fuddruckers) was a huge disappointment. I really wanted to like this place, but they took away everything that made Fuddruckers great … no salad bar, no cheese station, no fun atmosphere, just a stripped down, generic bar setup with far less charm.

We ordered burgers, which were just okay, but the happy hour margarita was extremely watered down. The happy hour menu just said “margarita,” so when I asked for a strawberry version, I got charged full price anyway. On top of that, they automatically add gratuity to your bill and then hand you another slip to leave an additional tip which feels really shady.

The food is overpriced for small portions, the fries weren’t even warm, the meat texture was off, the tables are packed too close together, and service is painfully slow.

Between the mediocre food, confusing pricing, and lack of the things that used to make this place special, I don’t see myself coming back. Evergreen Bar & Grill really needs to rethink both their operations and their customer experience because right now, it’s a big step down from what...

I went on 7/17/25 during happy hour. Asked for potato skins for appetizer waitress said they no longer served because of to many complaints ( but still on menu) She kept apologizing for not coming to table in timely manner because she was trying to get to daycare and a change of shifts yadda yadda yadda..food was terrible! Shrimp were small and overdone.The Big Momma Mimosa was awful I sent it back! The fries were hard and cold! The Manager decided he wanted to vacuum while we were eating never once acknowledge us or asked was everything okay! But all by our food and table with a vacuum! Rolls of paper towels on each table..the cheep ones lol Menu's were greasy and they give you about six with hardly anything to choose on them lol Way overpriced for that drop in grease mess!
