Kerby's Koney Island — Restaurant in Southfield

Here is an example of why people stop patronizing certain businesses. I ordered a salad and a Yero sandwich. I asked for an extra egg for the salad, and red vinaigrette dressing. They staple up the top of the bag for carry outs so i didn’t bother to check what they gave me. No extra egg, and wrong dressing. I went back and asked to get what I was missing, first I got a major attitude from the waitress (with long pink waist length braids, no name tags). She asked the cook for an egg, in a container, and she put that and salad dressing on the counter and walked away. I said I'm going to need a bag for this. She slapped a bag down on the counter and walked away again. I had to put the items in the bag so I could leave.

I said to her, is that how you are going to treat a customer, especially when it was your mistake? to which she replied i didn’t make your order, have a nice day!! She was the one who, along with another waitress that appeared to be a newer trainee that took my order. So I guess she does not claim to be a representative of the Kerby Restaurant and under no obligation to be courteous to customers. Not a good attitude to train someone to have, this business will fail if that continues and gets even worse. I usually go to another Kerby location on Northwestern, which gives stellar service, and they don’t staple to the bag, so you can see...

Horrible experience. Took my 4 kids and their mother there for 1st time. We chose to dine in. The waiter the took our order was extremely rude and impatient! Once our food finally arrived there was some hair discovered in my son food. We ask for another dish instead of just leaving. The waiter was very difficult making it seem as if we put the hair in the food ourselves🤦🏽‍♂️.. then once we got to the register to pay. They charged us for the food that had the hair in it plus the new meal they brought out to substitute it. I refused to pay for the meal with hair in it. The owner and his sons come out from behind the counter blocking me and my family for leaving the store. They were loud, rude and extremely disrespectful. My kids ages are between 3 and 15 and they didn’t even care, blocking the exit so we couldn’t leave. My children were crying and afraid. All because of hair in our food! I finally forced me and my families way out the door. They took our license plate and sent the police to my residence for food that had hair in it for $5.00. HORRIBLE PEOPLE, CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY WAY THEY HANDLED THE ENTIRE SITUATION! I WILL NEVER IN MY ENTIRE EXISTENCE EAT THERE AGAIN OR ADVISE ANYONE I KNOW TO GO THERE. They run the entire business like they are a gang and not catering to the customers.. DONT GO HERE! You’ve been warned! WORST...

I was there with a group of maybe 10! I believe I was the last one to place my order. I haven’t been to a Kirby’s since before the pandemic so I know I wanted the delicious fries, a bowl of soup and a sandwich! I told the server what I wanted only lemonade no Coke. She pointed out just the thing on the menu for me! A Kerby’s Triple! Only lemonade because I can’t drink coke + I need a water to take my medicine! That was a go ! All minds clear! Food was delicious! I’m eating like I have not eaten before! Some of this is going to have to go home!! Oops, I’ve got to go to the ladies room too! In the meantime, I’ve requested water at least two more times! Very important that I take my medication! But still no water! I return from the ladies room every one has their check and or dessert or carry out! I request water one time! I have finished my soup but not my fries or sandwich! I take my medicine with my lemonade! One of the other ladies has my check and surprise surprise, here comes the waitress with my water! Now, I’m at the cash register trying to figure out with someone what I was charged for and why when I had the Kerby Triple? I can get as loud as she and I don’t care about none of the people here I need my money straight! They never called the waitress to explain it, So needless to say no tip for her! I still don’t...
