Nice restaurant, but sometimes quality of sandwiches not consistent. Desserts should NOT be sold if sitting on shelf too long and cake is HARD. Step it up!!!
Well, once again I tried Lou's 2day, 08/24/18. I have but a few words for their horrific sandwiches...U never fail to disappoint. For those of us who have frequented Lou's across from Marygrove College, u pale in comparison to the original Lou's Delicatessen. I ordered a Dinty & a Roselawn The meat was EXTREMELY SALTY and instead of sliced of meat, I was served literal slithers...Oh, it gets better yet; it appeared as if the meat had been pureed, literally. The cole slaw was made with dill dressing of some sort, rendering the sandwiches bitter. It was DISGUSTING. This for a sandwich & a half (mini) at $21; good work, if u can get it.
Of course, I called and spoke with the manager, who promptly informed me that "Danny's been making sandwiches for 30 years. I said well that accounts for the downturn in business at this locale, Greenfield @ Nine Mile Rd. He offered to remake sandwiches; I said not with Danny at the helm, thanks but no thanks. They're worst than before...Well, I've had my say & NEVER again. The proper way to handle this situation would have been return of my $21.
LOU, I know you're not around now...Oh, how I long for the old days, when a corned beef sandwich was the REAL thing. Wherever u r now Lou...I won't be be back; just lost a loyal customer, who gave your predecessor a couple of chances. I'll look elsewhere.
Have a good...
Read moreI'll never understand why people who accept a job in customer service are so rude, for no reason.
Four of my sisters and I took a road trip to Detroit for the Usher concert. Today was a beautiful day, we were enjoying your city...until we decided to eat @ Lou's on 22819 Greenfield Rd/Southfield. This is where I unfortunately encountered a very rude, insecure, unprofessional, mean boy named Cortez, aka Corey aka Orlando.
I had a few questions about the menu, which had an error on it, Cortez, aka Corey aka Orlando took a looked at the menu and then stated..." Oh well, I mean menu's can have mistakes". I stated I was confused...he then said... "I can believe that".
I then said to him excuse me...you are so rude!!! He then asked why 🤦🏾♀️.
I was raised to always do my best. I was raised during a time when customer service was customer care.
Shame on the person who allows this individual to miss treat the customers. I wonder if you care at all about your establishments reputation? This behavior is not new, as your staff stood bye and said NOTHING. Shame on all of you. I just wonder if Cortez, aka Corey aka Orlando would dare speak to a man the way he spoke to me. I 100% doubt it!
I just want Cortez, aka Corey aka Orlando to know if he does not make the choice to BE/DO Better...he will spend the rest of his life as a cashier taking orders for chicken fingers & fries, not because you want to...because you have no...
Read moreMy recent experience with Lou's Deli was nothing short of disappointing and frustrating. After placing an order for a corned beef sandwich, I eagerly awaited my sandwich, only to be met with utter disappointment upon taking the first bite. Not only was the sandwich horrible, but it wasn't even what I had ordered. I live far away from Lou's Deli, I couldn't simply pop back in to have the mistake rectified. However, when I called to inform Sydney of the error and politely requested some form of compensation due to the inconvenience, the response I received was shockingly dismissive and unprofessional. Sydney had the audacity to compare their deli to Footlocker or Macy's, saying that requesting a discount for their error was somehow unwarranted. This response not only lacked empathy but demonstrated a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. As a customer, I expect a basic level of competence and accountability from any establishment, especially when it comes to something as fundamental as fulfilling an order correctly. Lou's Deli failed miserably in this regard, and their lack of empathy and poor customer service have left a sour taste in my mouth,...
