Party of 2 adults and 2 children with a baby here. The staff is very poorly organized. Took roughly 5-10 minutes to get greeted which is understandable as it appears they didn't have a host on staff that night and there was a party of about 8 they were attempting to seat. It appears the manager on duty was running both front and back house while pulling hosting duties so running all that there's bound to be some mishaps. After being seated, the server ensured to tell us he'd be right with us. The main dining was relatively slow besides the party of 8 however the bar did seem busy. Put in drink and food order after about another 5-10 minutes of waiting. After that, it was another 10 minutes to get drinks. The server brought out the drinks minus mine (I had ordered a beer) because he had to wait for the bartender to pour it. Meanwhile, I noticed patrons at the bar seated well after us getting their mixed drinks prioritized over my draft pour beer. We ended up waiting another 40-45 minutes for our food to arrive and during that time I noticed again bar patrons being served their food orders when they had seated well after we were. I can understand bar patrons being prioritized to an extent over the main dining (don't want people drinking on an empty stomach and smaller parties so orders are simpler) however serving people who have seated well after another party in the main dining isn't acceptable. Once the food finally arrived, my order of a chicken Caesar salad ended up being a chicken house salad with ranch but by then I already had boxes and the check so didn't bother trying for a correction. The manager did take off $10 on the bill however this barely covered the incorrect order that I ended up throwing out upon arriving home and we did not get the dessert that came with our order so really didn't get any money taken off in the scheme of things. Being clearly understaffed it is understandable things would take a while but the main issue was that bar patrons clearly get the preferential treatment. Staffed properly or understaffed, there needs to be a balance to both bar and...
Read moreI couldn't wait to type this review for this horrible establishment! Chef Gordon Ramsey and John Tapper would say from the door this place should be shut down! Hell, Stevie Wonder could see it! There is no excuse for anyone to have to wait at the door as long as my wife and I did before someone even noticed us! Maybe they should turn the loud rap music down and they can concentrate on what's going on! For a minute I thought Friday's turned into a club. The taking of our orders even took longer than it should've because I couldn't hear the waitress and she couldn't hear me over the banging music! The drinks took too long to come as well as the appetizers! The main entrees were mediocre, nothing great at all. There was no way I was sending my order back from the cold fries I was given, it would've literally taken all night to get my food! My wife's steak came well done and she clearly asked for medium rare! Way off the mark! The cook has no idea what they're doing! The waitress didn't bother to ask if we needed more drinks after we guzzled our water and beer down. The woman wasn't very attentive to our needs at all. Our waitress was in such a hurry to go hang out in the kitchen. If I need to ask you for everything, then there's a major issue! Open your eyes and become aware of what's going on, sheesh! In the middle of our meal, I noticed 4 people walk in. They stood for a few minutes until they noticed the atmosphere and no one was coming to seat them anytime soon, so they left! Overall this just was not a good visit at all!!! The only reason my wife and I even came here was to use a gift card we received for Christmas. I vow to NEVER return after this!!! Oh, and the Dearborn location is just as bad or worse!!! OMG, the ringing in my ears from the loud "Trap Music" is ridiculous, feels like I just came home from a concert!!! Just do us all a favor and shut it down because you're up there with thee worst restaurants in the...
Read moreWe went for my husband's birthday. Staff standing at the door near menus but no one greeted us. So we asked, "Do we just sit anywhere?" There were plenty of empty tables to choose from and 3 staff standing at the door when we came in so it didn't seem too busy. We were told "Just a minute, I'm speaking to him." Then the 3 staff people finished the tense conversation and walked away. We stood there for a few minutes and then asked another staff person about a table. "Just a minute." Then she left. Finally, we got seated upstairs. Our waitress was busy but came over when she could. She was very welcoming and friendly. We gave the entire order, including drinks. After 15 minutes, she brought water. Then, at 30 minutes, without any sign of the BOTTLE of beer, they seated her another 6 top. My husband asked about the beer. "We're busy, it's going to be a minute." Now, I admit, the bar was hopping, people singing with the bartender but some staff were washing bar glasses so why we had to wait a half hour for a BOTTLE of beer, I'm confused. So, after waiting another 5 minutes we left. We didn't even see our waitress so we could tell her we were leaving. We went to another place, Mr. Joe's. Greeted immediately, sat immediately, waitress came and took our drink order immediately even though the place was packed and our table was being cleaned when we walked in. Within 30 minutes of arriving, we had our delicious food and my husband was on his second beer. TGI Friday's Corporate needs to visit incognito and see...
