I absolutely hate to give bad reviews. I am a business owner myself so I am a believer in trying to give places the benefit of the doubt Because from personal experience a lot of stuff is just misunderstandings but I have had too many negative experiences and I’m noticing that other people are having the same bad experiences and it doesn’t seem like it’s getting any better.
This location sadly is VERY unprofessional, slow, and carelessly ran by the staff. I have gone through the drive through multiple times. Each time was an EXTREMELY long wait compared to other tropical smoothies. Also, there have been times I have arrived a little before they closed (like 10-15 mins) and they closed early and just yelled “we’re closed” through the speaker or just plain didn’t say anything and looked at us through the window as we rode around. (I hate being THAT person that shows up at the last minute but it is usually so quick at the other locations that they STILL get me serviced before they officially close).
Today was my first time going into the location because there were at least 6 cars in the drive thru. I knew I was gonna be waiting forever. So I tried to go in just to see if it would be quicker. There were a few people in there waiting as well. I got to the register and in the middle of me ordering the young lady walked away. (No “excuse me” or “one moment”) she did come back but still. There was another young lady sweeping the floor with an attitude. Apparently, she had a mishap with another customer (an elderly woman) who seemed pretty upset and she began taking pictures. I’m assuming of the conditions of the store because honestly it was extremely unkept. I’m SURE she has a nice complaint coming soon. She then asked for a refund and the young lady with the attitude approached the register with an even bigger attitude to return her money. The young lady helping me joined In to ridicule the lady.
There were other people working as if they had no purpose. They were running into each other and One guy had to ask about his smoothie TWICE. and he was there before me.
I really hate to leave this review. I love tropical smoothie. I’m leaving this with the purpose of helping the owner to see that they need to hire an entire new team. Every single person there seemed as if they didn’t care for their job or where they work. I believe that people who work for me should care about my business as much as I do ESPECIALLY if they are being paid to. Every single person was a terrible representation of the company and owner. I say every single person because not ONE person tried to improve ANYTHING or apologize for anything that was going on. They also seemed extremely annoyed they had to help people. Again, it was also extremely unkept and it didn’t seem like anyone tried to really wipe anything Down or clean...Aside from the girl that was sweeping with the attitude. However, I honestly think she just tried to find something to do to take her mind off the fact the lady was taking pictures.
It was honestly sad to witness as a business owner. I’ll try back in a few weeks to see if there have been improvements. I really hope so. But at this point I am not confident there will be change based on the reviews...
Read moreI’ve gone here on more than several occasions (located close to my home) and I must admit the service could definitely use improvement. This is the ONLY location of TSC that charges you if you substitute sugar for honey (FYI: I’ve been to several TSC in state and out of state). The wait time, Smoothie/food quality and accuracy are all a hit or miss. If you don’t have patience I would NOT suggest that you go to this location. My suggestions to improve customer service, Smoothies, food: 1. Hire More Staff 2. Train your staff on quality customer service (including communication to colleague and customers). 3. Re-train current staff on how to make product and how to ring up customers properly (not over charging). 4. Build a relationship with southfield lib and recreational center so you can be informed of upcoming events (hockey tournaments, etc.).

Read moreI frequent this location 5 times a week. It's hard not to love it but this location IS THE WORST 😫😫 I'm in line as I'm typing this. I have been waiting 30 just to place an order. And when it's my turn, I said hey, is it going to take long? I've been in line almost 30 mins..... She says, "oh, well u can wait if u want to ". This place has the worst customer service.. Would a polite, "sorry for the wait" ,be too much to ask? Then she had the nerve to be upset because I asked for a total! Now I would chalk this up to it's just crazy busy today BUT THEIR ATTITUDES ALWAYS SUCK AT THIS LOCATION! I mean are the employees not being treated right by management or something?
