This evening after leaving a long day of work, I made a decision to stop at Wendy's to get a crispy chicken sandwich and a medium fry with no salt. The person who took my order was very nice with no issues. The person who took my payment was extremely nice with no issues. While waiting for my order, the person who took my payment had walked away and a different guy whose name is Brandon walked up. He was the one who took my order and I'm going to assume he is the store manager. I just finished drinking the water in my water bottle and was still thirsty. I asked Brandon if he could give me a couple of water. To be clear, I never order any type of drink when going to a fast food restaurant because I always have my water bottle. Brandon asked me what did I want three times as if he didn’t hear me the first time. Brandon then told the gentleman who took my order "she want a cup of water" with an attitude. The gentleman proceeded to give me the cup of water. While I'm drinking the water Brandon gives me my order. I asked if I could have some honey mustard. Brandon tells me it's going to be $0.36. I told him that I wasn't paying that even though I could. Brandon then went on to state that he should have charged me for the cup of water, but he was being nice. I told him water is free! Brandon then stated that he could have given me as many sauces that I wanted if I would have told him while placing my order, but since I am at the window it's going to be $0.36. After I told him that I am not paying that fee, he told me that I did not want sauce. We went back-and-forth about this for a couple of seconds until I told him to have a good night. I have been to several Wendy's where I have never had a problem getting a sauce or two. All I wanted was a honey mustard sauce. This is why people can't wrap their head around why people spazzing out and acting a fool over getting done sauce at these restaurants. It's not about the sauce, IT'S THE CUSTOMER SERVICE and that was extremely horrible customer service. Working in any restaurant all staff should be trained on how to talk to people. I work in food and beverage and hospitality, and there is no way that Brandon she be allowed to talk to customers the way he did me. He was very unprofessional while trying to be professional with his sarcasm. For that store to be located on a main road, you have to have better customer service and if Brandon is the face of the 12 mile and telegraph Wendy's you will have more complaints. Being professional and nice costs $0.00.
S/n: I was given five packs of ketchup, which is something I never asked for, but Brandon gave me a hard time with asking for one or two things of...
Read moreYesterday afternoon, I placed my order and gave the girl at the window (2) $5 bills. She came back to the window and told me to pull up to the window. So I pulled up to the window thinking that they were gonna give me my change there when they gave me my food. When I mentioned that I didn't get my change, the manager was very rude telling me that the girl said that she gave me the money already. Then she finally said, "I'm gonna give you the money" very sarcastically like she was doing me a favor and she had a look that clearly stated she did not believe me..
It was my right to get my change but she was talking to me like I was a criminal. I told her that it wasn't about the money as I actually don't need the money but it's the principle.
When she was going to get the change, I left before she returned because I was so infuriated as she was not doing me a favor by giving me change and because I had just picked up a cake for my daughter's birthday and I needed to get back home for the party.
I am a person who has found a wedding ring at a batting cage and turned it in to the business owner so it could get back to the rightful owner. This past Spring, I came home from shopping once and found that my four-year-old son had put an expensive fishing reel in the double stroller. I marched him back to the store and made and give it back to the manager and apologize. Over the years, I have had many many tests of my integrity and have passed them all. Fortunately, I'm in a position where there is no way that I could ever imagine stealing anything of any amount, but especially $4.70. I don't think that these attributions make me special. I believe that that's just how it's supposed to be. I surely don't like the insinuation that I'm doing something underhanded when all I'm actually trying to do is get my change that was owed to me.
I was absolutely certain beyond the shadow of a doubt that she had not returned with my change but because I know I'm not perfect and I would hate to make a mistake and make a false statement about someone regarding their job, I checked all my pockets and all over my car to see if I could find any bills or change. I found nothing. I had $315.00 in my pocket in assorted 20's tens and fives but I had ZERO single dollar bills anywhere and no coins.
TO THE OWNER, while you're at it, check the surveillance video (If you have it like most drive-thrus do these days ) and see if any change was given to the Silver Toyota van at...
Read moreThis is my first review of this Wendy’s, but is my fourth complaint. Alexa, what was the date last Saturday, October 12, 2020 2am (Technically, Sunday morning) I was the only one in the drive-through I have placed a mobile order and I stopped at the speaker and I watched the employee which I later learned was the supervisor on duty. Talk to other employees for a few minutes. He came to the window and left three times. when he finally picked up his headset, I told him I had a mobile order he told me to pull through the window half an hour later I still don’t have my food and then they handed me a DoorDash order. I told the employee that I didn’t have a DoorDash that I had a mobile order. He called the supervisor and he realized that he forgot to put the order in which I don’t understand how he could’ve done that because I was the only one there. Before I knew it was a DoorDash. I open the bag and seeing it wasn’t my order I gave it back and they sealed the bag up like they were going to give it out again. It was my understanding once food cross the counter or the window it couldn’t be taken back. I ordered the crabby patty meal and it came with a frosty. They didn’t informed me. The machine was broke and they couldn’t give me a frosty. They didn’t offer me anything else and they also gave me cold fries. I asked for a refund and they said we can’t give you a refund. They told me to see the manager in the morning. I came back in the morning and was told the manager wasn’t coming in until Monday so now I’ve wasted two trips and I live in Detroit so essentially I paid $11.49 for a crabby patty burger because I didn’t need to fries because they were cold and the frosting machine was broke. I’ve spoke to the manager once before about bad service and apparently is a recurring theme at this, Wendy’s. Their rating is 3.7 out of five but from my experience they should have a 2.5 rating. I called corporate and was told someone would get in touch with me within a day or two. Today is Thursday, October 17 and I still haven’t received a refund or a call back from corporate. Kinda hard to argue higher wages when they’re not doing the job they...
