So once again, the management at the Southgate, McDonald’s is horrible. I used my app because they seem to insist on you using it. I ordered double cheeseburger, fry, McNuggets and a small drink and paid for it. When arriving the speaker attendant told me the carbonated drinks are down, so I’m free to have a hi c , iced tea, soft drink or any of those so I asked for a small shake instead, since the problem is on them I feel they should accommodate, I was told no we cant do that. I said OK just take the drink off my order, And they said that would be fine, but it’ll still be the same price. I’m assuming the store manager took over on the speaker and inform me that they just can’t do that. There’s too much of a price difference between a small glass of Coke and a small shake and we can’t refund your money because it’s a meal deal. If you come in my store and my equipment brakes down I would allow you to pick any soft drink in the store as a good manager this is what you do. Well, I continued my way to the pick up window and a very nice young had man who offered me a glass of water and was very apologetic about not being able to fill my order properly, than had me pull over to the food isn’t ready line because the they’re waiting on hot fries, approximately eight minutes later a very nice young individual came out gave me my food and low and behold the fries were warm at best, She was very apologetic totally not her fault I asked you to please get me some hot fries since I waited for them Well then I had to wait for another five minutes for a small hot fry while the rest of my food got cold, there is no "ba-ba-ba" "I'm Lovin' It" here!!! The only reason I rated it as high as I did was for the very polite people handling the drive-through line, unfortunately the manager doesn’t havethis skill or the notion how to take care of a customer when your store is at fault, let’s face it McDonald’s is not going go broke over switching out a small coke for a small shake. Read moreI’ve honestly never posted a review for a restaurant before, or anything for that matter, but my experience tonight made it impossible not to.
I placed an order through the mobile app and when I went to pay, I received an error message saying there was some kind of error due to internet connection (was using 5G mobile data with no connection issues). The money for my order was taken out of my account, but there was no record of it in the McDonald’s app.
I called before showing up and was told there was no order that came through under my name. After trying to call customer service and finding out the line closes at 8pm, I decided I would just go into the store to ask a manager.
The first worker I spoke with was incredibly nice and relayed my issue to who I assume was the manager. I overheard her say “I can see the money came out of her account”. The “manager” on duty came over and I re-explained what happened. I showed her that the amount that was taken out of my account was the exact same as the amount of the “incomplete” cart in my app. I even showed the below screenshots, which include the order confirmation email I received FROM MCDONALDS.
She said that unless it is showing in the app, there wasn't anything she could do about it and that I would have to wait to be refunded. I had my 2 young children with me who had just been in the car over 2 hours so that I could do food delivery. I clearly was not trying to scam anyone, and my order was only $12!!!

Read moreI went to see my friend a Dan( *85)at a local nursing home (assisted living) with a Chris(10 yrs old) a very brave guy, both of them. We went into said facility. Chris had Never been to a place like that before. He was extremely helpful and I finally went to meet his mom. Turns out, his mom is delightful, and Chris explained everything that happened to his mom. A Dan had some very fresh watermelon. Chris guided me how to order, and he even wanted a #7. He placed the order all by himself. Since he worked so hard, cleaning my home all day. He ate an ice cream right off the top. As I giggled, he paid (my treat) and we pulled into a spot. A kind gentleman walked the food out to our car. Food was just that. Chris was very proud. We waited for our food. McDonald's made Chris very happy! We drove home. We had a true McDoogles( Not a typo,)...experience. Only reason I rated food so medium, is that Chris did Not get a #7 as promised. Will not be any pictures, or photos of any of this.
