Nardelli's Grinder Shoppe — Restaurant in Southington

Very disappointed!!!

I've been coming here for lunch about once a week since they opened the Southington location. Time for me to take a big long break. They currently have (many!) brand new staff and the experience have been poor, at best. My last visit (Sept 15th) I asked for chicken cutlet with swiss lettuce and tomato only. Guy looked at me like I was an alien. Got home, no tomato, no cheese and olives. I did not ask for olives!

Today, half a roast beef. The grinder roll was so small I got 1/3rd, not 1/2 like I paid for. There was very little roast beef, 1 slice of swiss cheese, one tiny piece of lettuce and 2 pieces of red onion. These are the amount of toppings you teach new people to put on a sandwich? My daughters turkey was also 1/3rd of a full sub, not 1/2, she had 1 tomato, no cheese (I asked for cheese). Not going to continue paying $20 for lunch just because you have "new people" and they cannot make a sandwich. Left a tip at payment, no thank you, no nothing. Have a nice day maybe?! Not that either. I'm going elsewhere until Nardellis Southington gets there act together. Will not see me for...

In the simplest of terms, this is what a deli is supposed to be like!!!

I had the chicken pesto with tomato and provolone.  I asked at least 6 people to go in front of me as I perused the menu to make a decision.  Therein was the problem… the menu is AWESOME!!! I didn't’ know what I wanted…. Chicken, meatball, steak, eggplant, ribs, Italian sub, roast beef…. YES…. I wanted it all.

I opted for the pest chicken grinder.  This thing is HUGE!!! It was [an enjoyable] “grind” just to finish the sandwich.  And, they have gluten free options for bread too. Me… I like extra gluten with my gluten, but I have let my [gluten-free] wife know about the options for the next time her business travels take this way.

I highly recommend you leave a tip.  First and foremost, the tip is very much earned.  Service is impeccable and fast… they earn the tip.  When you do tip, the ring a bell and the entire staff shouts out “grazzi”.  That was worth the price of...

Food always good, but not happy that my order has been wrong 2 weeks in a row! It is not complicated and IF the girl at the counter cannot remember 5 items for a sandwich, either WRITE IT DOWN or ASK!! Really simple

Today I ask for half roast beef. Girl at counter asks me, everything on it? I said NO I would like lettuce, onion, mayo and swiss cheese, no tomato. I said a 2nd time please NO tomato (because I dont like tomatoes). I get to work open the sandwich - it HAS tomatoes, it has NO mayo and has american cheese, not swiss. My sandwich had 5 total ingredients including the roast beef - 3 of the 5 items were done incorrectly.

Not happy because I couldn't enjoy my lunch for the 2nd week in a row from Nardelli's. If I am eating there I will go back, if I am on the run where I have to get back to work and eat forget it, never again. I'll go somewhere that I know will make my...
