We stopped by here after dinner expecting an experience echoing the wonderful Southlake square. While the staff was friendly and accommodating, their competence ended there. I requested a small, extra thick, chocolate chip cookie dough shake. I went to pay for mine and my girlfriend's ice cream; I had to remind him to charge me for hers, then he asked 3 times if I wanted a receipt. I bring up the receipt requests because I felt as though the employee I spoke with was half asleep and was struggling with every decision. I tried my shake as I walked outside and noticed that it wasn't extra thick, I could immediately drink it through a straw. I asked them about why it wasn't made extra think and the employee said "don't worry, we didn't charge you for it" I responded with "ok, but I WANTED to pay for and receive extra thick". I was somewhat dismissed as other customers entered the shop and I proceeded to walk out as a one time only customer. I can't help but feel that Milwaukee Joe would be disappointed if he witnessed this exchange and would hire new employees on the spot. I don't recommend this ice cream shop with the many other great options within...
Read moreI don't make reviews for anything, because what's one review? But I have to express my hate for this experience. My boyfriend and I were looking for a close ice cream place because we were in the area and we saw this one and first off the outside wasn't nice and when you walked in the first thing you see is some grungy teenage boys that literally look like they don't want to be there at all and not to mention all the kids in there and they did not even care to smile and pretend that they like their jobs. Second I ordered a waffle cone and that cone tasted stale like it had been left out for days and my boyfriend ordered a milkshake which is suppose to hurt when you drink it, right? Because it should be somewhat thick. Well this milkshake tasted like chocolate milk. It was overall a very very disappointing experience. I honestly wish that they were wearing a uniform with name tags so that I could give credit to the people that made 2 one time only never coming...
Read moreHoly cow! When I first walked in I thought the place was way over priced, especially when I saw the size of the cups they had for serving the ice cream in. But the reviews I had read said they were worth it, so I bit the bullet and dove in head first. I got the hot fudge brownie sundae. EXCELLENT CHOICE!!! And I don't think I could have made a better one. It was so good that I can't find the words to even describe it. But I suggest that you go try one for yourself. You might find a better one, but you would have to make it for yourself because I don't think anyone else has a better one. And in my opinion, I think it's the brownie that really makes it though, not the ice cream. However, because I am not normally nor regularly in this area, I did taste a couple of other flavors and ended up getting 2 scoops of Almond Joy ice cream on a chocolate dipped waffle cone and it was out of this world! I will definitely go back and take...
