The Halal Guys — Restaurant in Southlake

Mediterranean is my favourite, so tonight I ordered for first time trying the brand. This establishment did come up in a google & ubereats searches as Mediterranean style. -The pitas were so hard, they snapped. -The food overall bland. -The pesto hummus is ok at best. -There was no cucumber sauce offered, odd for a place listed under Mediterranean food style. -The Chicken platter- the chicken was cooked nicely, and not too dry, thats a positive.

After doing a bit of research into the company, I learned the following information. This is Middle Eastern/Egyptian, not Mediterranean food; I learned this upon further deep dive into ownership of the brand, so it makes a lot more sense as to why the food style is this way. Hopefully someone else can learn from my mistakes.

Ubereats did deliver very quickly, we did get a lot of napkins - thats a plus. I am overall really disappointed in the quality of food, and wont be trying...

I used to love eating at The Halal Guys. Haven't been to one in a while since no locations nearby my new house. Was excited to see one near my route today.

First thing I noticed was the prices have increased. Prices have increased everywhere, but higher than expected.

Was going to get lamb as the menu mentioned, but no lamb available. Disappointing to have something on the menu, but not available. Should be taken off the menu or have a sign up.

I tried the regular combination platter beef and chicken. Beef was okay, but the chicken smelled and tasted as if it had be sitting a bit and/or if came from a can.

With the increase in price and items unavailable and not fresh, I'm better off going to a sit down restaurant paying the same or less. Sadly will probably be my last time at...

We tried The Halal Guys for the first time today at the Southlake location, and honestly—it was way better than we expected.

Giovanni was fantastic. He patiently walked us through all the options, encouraged us to try different meats, and helped us find the perfect bowl. We ended up going with the spicy chicken over rice and wow—it was truly amazing. Flavorful, just the right heat, and the quality of everything was top notch.

The ambience was clean, bright, and welcoming. The service? Even better. Giovanni was kind, attentive, and clearly cares about the customer experience. (Seriously—someone give that kid a raise.)

So glad we stopped in. This place definitely earned a...
