Construction was completed here August 2021, it is a Restaurant chain, however privately owned and origins from Garwoods restaurant chain, in Lake Tahoe, this place is exquisite, being right off the Marina, gorgeous views, and 2 levels, 3 bars, including one on outside area (Closed for the winter season) Walking inside, which yesterday evening was not busy at all, I was greeting by a smiling, friendly hostess (She was sweet) I told her I had a reservation, and asked to wait for all to arrive, once that was done, we were seated near the glass window on the first floor, plenty of space from others, and real close to the kitchen which is an open kitchen. The Server was very nice, professional and welcoming, answered all questions given, I spoke to him that I wanted to do a review, and then I was greeted by the Manager named Margarita, who was happy to give me a tour when I was finished! She also was there for any questions or concerns! The food, A variety of seafood and steak and pasta, and a large variety of local wines (California dominant) and a excellent selection of Liquors, (Whiskey, Scotch, Cognac, Tequila and even Mezcal!, the price, Is more on the higher end, just be prepared for that, as it is worth every penny! I ordered a Local IPA large (24oz Mug) they are not shy on Beer, and a Lobster Bisque to start, which was creamy and perhaps hands down the best I have had, with my main course being A Filet with Scampi (Photos provided) The Filet was so tender and perfectly cooked, Medium Rare is my choice for Filets, It was juicy, mouth watering, simply delicious! After the meal I tried a Vanilla Milkshake which in flavor is premium with malt in every way, they added peppermint to it, which was pleasing! I was given a tour by Margarita of the upstairs and was shown the Balcony and outside patios, This place is great for get togethers, special events, Riding solo at one of 3 bars, or for s special date night with that special someone! I am sure if you call ahead they will accommodate to your needs! One of the finest Restaurants in Sparks and Dare I say Best Filet I ever had! Special thanks to the hostess that served me, and our Server and to the Manger! Amazing and welcoming all the way through, extremely pleasant, for a surprisingly not too busy, exceptionally smooth experience! (Call for Reservation if the night seems busy, you have to try this place!) Highly recommended by a local! This place...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe came in on a weekday for a lunch for our anniversary on the 15th since I work nights. Everything started out great. The server was awesome, at first. The food was also great, at first.
We started with the coconut shrimp which we both found to be amazing. The lobster bisque was so rich and smooth, and after the Ceasar salad I was really excited to get to the main courses. And then we drove off a cliff...
Although the timing was perfect for the first two courses there was about a 20 minute wait for the main course. Through this 20 minutes we didn't see our server once other than the multiple times she checked on her table of 5 next to ours. Our glasses were empty the entire time. No waters no tea nothing. She literally vanished from our table. She had 4 tables, three 2 tops and a 5 top at a round table all the way in the back. I saw her fill the water glasses for the table of 5 twice without even checking on us. We were 3 feet away.
The manager dropped off the food and there our glasses remained, empty. I had the prime rib French dip that was so drenched with horseradish I couldn't take a bite without breaking into a sweat and my nose running like Niagara falls in springtime with global warming. I love spicy but Jesus, this should come with a warning on the menu in capital letters. I couldn't taste anything but horseradish hellfire. WHY CANT WE GET REFILLS? As my eyebrows melt off my face. Although I didn't try the sliders my fiance said they were underwhelming.
I had about 3 bites left, we still hadn't seen our waitress. I ended up having to interrupt her 6th visit to her big table to get refills because I assumed it would never happen and I felt like I was battling the gods of horseradish.
At this point I think she saw our frustration and decided to pay attention to us again. We were finished with our meal. Prior to this we were excited about having some desert. At this point we were excited to pay and leave.
All in all $130 for lunch plus tip. Ouch. This...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOn August 18, we decided to eat dinner here off of a recommendation from my dadās pedicurist. I actually wished I have never gone to this restaurant. I walked into the restaurant with my dad and fiancĆ©. There were two gentlemen standing at the front desk. He asked, ādo you have a reservation?ā I said, āno I do not, but I need one?ā He said, āwe preferred that you have one.ā I asked, so will not be able to eat because we do not have a reservation? He stated, on no we can seat you we are not busy. Do you want to sit inside or outside? I stated, that I would like to eat inside. He said, weāll this area is open and you can sit anywhere you would like. Now the area he suggested was in the bar close to the kitchen. Anyone who hat came after me he took and sat them somewhere else in the restaurant. We sat down and the I believe the manager is the one that brought drinks and stated that our server would be with soon. The sever came by we order our food. My fiancĆ© ordered a Prime French Dip, I ordered the burger and my father had the chicken. She only ended up eating half of it. She took a bite out of the second half and there was a long black hair that was baked in the cheese. We pointed this out to the waitress and it was taken off of the bill. The waitress apologized for the issue with the food. We paid the bill and proceeded to leave. The gentlemen at the front desk that was said, to a person leaving before me goodbye have a great night. I said, to front desk goodbye have a great night. His response was bye with an attitude. I felt that I was treated that I did not belong at this restaurant by the gentlemen at the front desk. Not sure if was the color of my skin or the way I was dressed. I was in comfort clothing after working a nine hour day. I have professional person with a masterās degree. I have no problem being able to afford to eat this restaurant. I will never attend this establishment again and he let my friends know that asked...
