In town for business and had a hankering for Mexican food. We looked for your typical chain-type Mex eatery and instead found Tres Hombres in the outlet shopping mall and a bit like a fast-food place, but still very nice.
Gotta say, Tres Hombres rocked it! Pleasantly surprised. We own our own restaurant in Mexico and this cantina did some great stuff. Good red salsa. Lots of food on the plates too. Couldn't finish it and excellent drinks!
Gotta give a shout-out to Sophia. I hope I got your name right, amiga! Like our own restaurant and so many restaurants, it was obvious Tres Hombres was short-handed. Just can't find workers! But we recognized that Sophia was running all over...waiting tables...making drinks...setting tables, etc. We felt bad and wanted to jump up and help her. I wouldn't be surprised if she was also washing dishes. She had only one busboy and no other help and the restaurant got busier and busier. She did great. We would have loved to have stolen her away for our own restaurant. Thanks for the great service, Sophia, and the...
Read moreFirst things first I come from Houston Texas I came here while I was at work and this is not Mexican food. The rice was hard had no seasoning, not even salt and pepper. My husband had the seafood enchiladas the crab that was in it had a sour tangy taste (rotten). Luckily he went and threw it up in the restroom before it did any damage to his stomach. I had a chicken bowl that came with corn tortillas. Those tortillas were obviously heated up in the microwave because as soon as you open the top and tried to peel it off of the parchment paper it automatically ripped. The salsa is watered down it doesn't even have tomatoes, onions, or cilantro. Even with the food that was cooked if you want to take the lazy way out put Goya in it. At least then it'll have some kind of flavor. On a positive note or waitress very kind very understanding she apologized profusely and we even told her we've worked in the fast food industry we know it's not her but we just need her to tell the manager or the cooks that they really need...
Read moreWe had a group of 10 or so and just wanted a place to hang out to enjoy drinks and company with each other while our boys enjoyed the nearby waterpark for a couple hours.
If drinks and appetizers and good service are what you need, this is it! Looks like they have a big selection on the menu and can't speak to that, except the guacamole, chips, queso and salsa. The guac was nice and chunky with a little bit of "zip" to it. The queso was nice and thick, stayed nice and cheesy and not like others that kind of firm up after sitting.. great for dipping if you love cheesy chips! The salsa was hotter than expected but did the job of us wanting more margaritas. We ordered a few pitchers and service was spot on; there when needed and not hovering when not needed.
The bathrooms were very clean as well as the restaurant. Tables were cleared and clean when patrons left.
Would definitely come back again if in the area. It is a bit of drive around the outlets to get here, but...
