SOBA TEPPANYAKI — Restaurant in Spokane Valley

We've eaten here before during the last year of COVID and the food and portions were amazing. My wife's aunt is visiting and we bragged about how good the food was and wanted her to try it out. I ordered 2 tofu teppanyaki and 2 orders of the shrimp fresh rolls and we were extremely disappointed. The portions have gone down tremendously (as well as the taste was bland) and the cost has gone up as well. $ 55.00 (when rounded up) for the items I mentioned and the taste was disappointing, the fresh rolls were loaded with lettuce and carrot and did have plenty of shrimp but no flavor. No mint, none of the Asian flavors that make fresh rolls worth eating. I went to the lady to get refills on our soda, and she tells me there are no refills and that for $2 she can refill our cups. There was no signage stating that there were no free refills. There are too many options for good Asian inspired food around Spokane and Spokane Valley, so she will not have to worry about us coming back here...

Seriously the best soba in Spokane. Stoped into the Valley mall to shop with my boyfriend around dinner time, we shopped ourselves hungry and noticed Soba Teppanyaki. I'm do glad we found this place !! Oanh runs this location all by herself, she provides amazing customer service and delicious food that is reasonably priced. We had the spicy shoyu shrimp soba and I was blown away at how great it was. The noodles were cooked to perfection (Japanese style soba noodles), the broth was rich with flavor, the egg was soft boiled, there was a good amount of shrimp and even naruto not to mention this was spiced just enough to make you break a sweat. I was in heaven! At the end I also purchased a bowl and some hot green tea that was high quality. I wish I had known about...

Real good. I like the flaming wok a lot but the food quality is much healthier here. If you are health conscious about your eating this place is worth a shot. As far a flavor, it is very good in my opinion. I tried the chicken spring roll and chicken soba plate and ate all of it, I thought the price was on par with other Asian style food in the area. They are trying to make it in the valley mall, rent isn't cheap so these other reviews complaining about the price of a soda are probably not thinking about that. Nice people, good service would highly recommend to anyone reading...
