The first time we came to this establishment, we were very pleased. We sat at the bar and had 2 drinks each and dinner and the bartender that night was very nice. But when we went back on New Year’s Eve, we had a completely different experience. The bartender took our IDs and she asked if she could keep mine. Thinking it was to have an ID at the bar, I let her. She then brought us back our ID’s with two cups of water and then asked if I had a debit card with the same name as my Driver’s License to prove I was who my ID said I was. So we went to our car to grab my debit card and came back to sit by our waters. We waited a good 10 minutes while this bartender was wiping off pickle jars behind the counter until a manager walked up to us and asked to verify my Driver’s License after she pointed us out. My debit card has my first name, middle initial, and last name on it and he said it checked out, while telling me in front of the bar that I shouldn’t change my appearance from my Driver’s License photo. The picture on my Driver’s License was taken 4 YEARS ago and I was skinnier and had make up on. I’ve never had an issue using my state issued drivers license before. After he verified me, she came back to take our order. The clucks and fries I ordered were okay (even tho she brought me ranch when I said no sauce), but the problem came when we ordered drinks. We ordered the spiked Freckled Lemonades (which we had previously and liked), and when we got them, mine tasted like it had no alcohol in it, even though my boyfriend specifically mentioned we had vodka in ours the previous time. I tasted my boyfriends and his tasted like it had alcohol in it, but mine didn’t. Another bartender saw me questioning my drink and brought me another one which DEFINITELY tasted like it had the alcohol in it. And after she took over the other bartender didn’t come back except to ask us if everything was okay after the other bartender had already served us. If it wasn’t for the second bartender the night probably would have been ruined. I believe it’s highly inappropriate to scold a customer about their ID photo when they’ve proven it rightfully belongs to them. The manager had mentioned while checking my drivers license that this had happened before due to the same issue (person gained weight since their ID picture was taken) and that person’s parents had cursed him out when it happened. So don’t go to this Restraunt/bar if you have any change in appearance from your driver’s license or ID picture unless you want to be questioned/embarrassed in front of the entire bar. We probably won’t be returning due to this. Pictured is the drink I ordered that had NO alcohol in it because the bartender didn’t agree/believe my ID...
Read moreFirst off, our server was excellent. She kept checking in on us and kept our drinks full. It was honestly one of the best experiences we have had in years, at least until we got the food. We ordered a couple of appetizers to start. We got the large stack of onion rings. We noticed that it was missing an onion ring but we didn't say anything. Then both my wife and I bit into the first two on the stack and neither was fully cooked. As you can see in the picture, there was raw flower that looked like the oil hadn't gotten to. Disappointed, we didn't say anything and just threw the pieces in one of our baskets. Then we started to eat the fried pickles that we ordered. After we got through the top layer we noticed our basket was full of chunks of breading from the fryer and it seemed like maybe we got the last of the bag of fried pickles because there were just small pieces and incomplete chunks of them. Because of this we decided not to order any food and we paid and eventually left.
The pricing is out of control and the food quality just isn't that good. It cost $45 after tip for the undercooked scraps that we got. We went to Thrifty Scotsman's got a couple of super bacons and fries as well as new onion rings for the same price as what we had paid for pop and the crappy appetizers here.
We used to come here multiple times a month but since you got rid of the better mozzarella sticks the value and quality have gone downhill. You got rid of the pick two starters, got rid of bottomless fries, your "cheaper" tavern doubles are now twice the price and in some cases, more expensive than your main burgers used to be. Now your "premium" burgers are $20 each. The food just isn't worth the premium price. With the exception of last night, the service is usually lacking. It will be a long time before...
Read moreUnfortunately I did not have a great experience this morning/lunch time at this specific Red Robin. Today was a very special day — my 2 year old son (along with my parents and I) were meeting his grandmother for the very first time. This lunch was to be very special.
As soon as we walked in, the red headed hostess gave my group a bad attitude. There was no friendliness, greeting, etc. She asked “how many?” and my dad jokingly responded “4.5” as a joke because we have a toddler and she said “so 5?” in a rude tone/attitude. We said yes and then she was about to put us in the really loud family area. We asked to go to the other area because my son gets overstimulated and so it wouldn’t be so loud trying to get to know our new family member. She rolled her eyes and went over to the front and shook her head annoyed while walking away telling us that there were no openings. She said there were no tables available, but when she led us over there, there were plenty open seats and then seated us. She didn’t ask what size high chair, so the high chair she got was too small and we had to go grab the larger one. Overall her tone was rude with attitude, didn’t smile once, was obviously annoyed, and looks like she hates her job. We were not rude. We treated her with kindness. The whole thing was so off putting I thought about talking to her myself but did not want to ruin the special lunch we were to have. The most important part of being a hostess is good customer service, so she should probably change jobs. Hostesses are supposed to greet with kindness and this was sadly not the case.
Thankfully the food was good and the...
