Fairly decent mall with some good stores. The top level probably has 3 shoe stores back to back, so if you need shoes you are in luck lol. Food court is quite small, meaning there is only a handful of vendors. Lots of massage chairs you can pay for. At one end of the mall as I was coming down the escalator I saw an independent vendor booth and instantly knew that it was one of those very very pushy sales people selling skin care - Lavelier. At first the lady offered me free samples to which I declined. I thought I got away, but as I was walking away she asked me what I used for eye treatments. Not realizing it until after, this was a sales tactic that I interpreted as a genuine, woman to woman, conversations where she was asking for skincare recommendations. Well as soon as she got me talking, she was giving me a free sample and application of some eye cream. The eye cream admittedly worked well. Anyways, the sucker I am bought one product with cash. She couldn't print a receipt at her kiosk so took me for a walk to their salon to print one off. The salon turned out to be a Lavelier store front with 3 more very very pushy sales people. Initially I refused to go in because I thought I was being tricked. Pick up the receipt while we pressure you some more. I was called inside but did get pressured to buy more. There was a woman and her husband who had a very pressured sale pitch underway as she was getting her hand massaged. Anyways, I leave the store with my receipt and no sooner a few feet away is another Lavelier kiosk!!! I wish I had a warning that on this section of the main floor I'd have to navigate and dodge 3 Lavalier stores. Positive note the lady I had did seem genuine, sure she got me to buy something but listened when I said no to additional products. Long and short, a decent mall. Would have been better without Lavelier making customers feel uncomfortable as...
Read moreSure! It's a great place if you're looking to spend half a paycheck on one pair of jeans. And if you're hungry, there's several options in the food court, only half of them are usually open, but nevertheless...
If you're one of those people that just loves being on a quaint little shopping trip when suddenly you're aggressively verbally assaulted by those working the kiosks in the middle of the walkways, then this is the place for you. Keep in mind "no" is not in their vocabulary. So make sure to set aside at least a half an hour to an hour of your time just for the ordeal of saying your not interested, with an additional 10 minutes of reiterating said disinterest in a more forceful manner before they will allow you to leave. But if that's your thing, by all means. 🤷🏻♀️
This mall was decent and THE spot to be for Valley kids back in the day. But it seems that when Covid came through and brutally murdered any form of "night life" Spokane had, it also took both malls as a victim. Compared to before, these places are dead nearly all the time.
SOOO... If spending 2 weeks worth of money on one item, being physically obstructed so that you have no choice but to listen to a person boast the many reasons you should, indeed, spend that 2 weeks of hard earned cash on a pair of overly priced sunglasses, a food court that has somehow lost all of their premium food places and is, at best, mediocre, and for added benefit has a feel similar to that of a ghost town reminiscent of the late 1800's....look no further. You found your...
