Sumo Poke Bowl & Ramen — Restaurant in Spotsylvania Courthouse

I was really excited about eating here so I stopped in just to get a feel for the restaurant and get a quick drink. A simple bubble tea for myself and another person. I ordered, paid, but suddenly their machine broke down in the middle of the transaction.

The lady told me she didn’t know if it went through and it probably didn’t so I should pay again. I said no problem but I was going to call my bank first. My bank said the transaction went through. I put them on speaker so she could hear. She proceeded to call her manager. I showed her on my app the transaction went through. She still fiddled with the machine and spoke to her manger and didn’t make my drink-asking me to pay again. Of course I refused to pay again and After about 15 minutes (when the restaurant started to get other customers) she said, I’ll just give it to you free. …. It wasn’t free!!! I showed her, and called my bank to prove it.

All that for two 7 dollar drinks that were not even good. I was so glad I didn’t order any food for my family that day. They would have never let me leave the store. Customer service is...

How fortunate to have a place like this so close to home! Great portions and bold flavors make this an easy new local favorite for us. Certainly the most enjoyable Tonkotsu Ramen and Teriyaki Chicken that we’ve had the pleasure of enjoying in a long time.

And don’t skip on the boba! Great depth of flavor, high quality boba pearls, and a surprisingly reasonable amount of ice also puts this place on the map for our favorite boba spot as well. Also worth mentioning that this location offers jelly and cream cheese caps as add-ons (which we don’t see often enough).

My partner ordered the Black Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen — hands down one of the best ramen bowls we’ve had in a while. Rich, flavorful broth, and he added spicy chili and extra meat for personal preference.

I tried the build-your-own poke bowl with the house fusion sauce and spicy mayo — highly recommend! Everything was fresh and full of flavor.
