The food itself would've earned a 4 star review.
We ordered a meat lovers, which was delicious and well made . The bbq chicken was good as well.
We were forced to go ahead and order, and pay, for something prior to my three year old being allowed to use the restroom so she got a pepperoni slice. It was simply a slice of reheated cheese with some pepperoni on top. There was decidedly more grease than pepperoni .
As mentioned the service was absolutely not that of the other reviews. All of the staff was cold, and rude toward our family. We arrived in two separate cars so we were waiting on the other to order. My three year old was visibly in distress with the need to go to the bathroom, no one made any effort to make us aware of the "purchase before you pee" policy. Even then you have to ask for the restroom to be unlocked after paying. It was obvious we needed the bathroom, as well as it was obvious we were preparing to order. We even told them we were waiting for the rest of our party, but were ignored and told to...
Read moreThe appetizers were acceptable. Had the mozzarella sticks and garlic knots. The pizza on the other hand was inedible. I took a bite and promptly spit it out. My room was still dark so it’s on me for not checking the pizza before taking a bite and my fault for not checking the quality upon pick up. The artichokes were old, so old they had gone grey. The spinach was the frozen variety of which any veggie lover knows is a last resort. The broccoli was old and also a touch mushy which leads me to think it had also been frozen. So a $30 pizza was thrown straight into the trash. It was an unfortunate lesson. I can understand prices going up and I can certainly accept it but quality going down and prices increasing isn’t acceptable. The two stars are that at least the mozzarella...
Read moreStaff were great; everyone was genuinely nice, and wanted to interact. I was really expecting more of the food from the great reviews. (I've said this about 9 times now re the Fredericksburg restaurant scene.) My daughter took 2 bites of her spaghetti and pronounced it "plain". A little garlic, some basil, rosemary, and salt would have gone a long way. The garlic knots were good but covered in oil. The pizza crust was good, and I'm willing to go back to try one of their menu pizzas, not a "create your own." Sauce was also plain, so get roasted garlic on anything you order, which someone else also noted. It's better than PJ or Domino's, and I will keep supporting small business, but as far as "the best pizza I've had south of Jersey..."...
