UPDATE: Opening Day (and 3x more with friends, lol)
Store is clean, staff friendly, helpful eager to please! Selection is great! Prices- about the same as Sam's give or take on a few items.
THRILLED to have: "CHOSEN" MAYO- no Soybean oil or seed oils-Avocado oil and it tastes as good as "regular" mayo like Hellman's HEAVY CREAM-with zero additives like NO Carrageenan!! KRAKUS HAM- and a deli -complete with an assortment pre-cuts PICAHANA- and other meats-and full Cryo packs for meat. YEAH!
BJ's is like between a Sams and Costco as in variety/quality. For ex- We need plastic silverware for a wedding- They have a nice style burnished-looks like real metal, not super shiny/fake plastic looking. So a different variety of goods is at BJ's.
I got the BJ's PLUS membership- 5% back and 15 cents a gallon discount for gas. It will pay for itself.
I am happy to have BOTH clubs in town to shop at. The ONLY con is the Self check-out is a little clunky at BJ's compared to Sams (Used it for years) No biggie, I am sure they'll work out the bugs.
(Pre-Opening) SIGH..... Reading comprehension is important, almost as much as patience. BJ's is not open yet, hence "coming soon". It is not $25 a MONTH but $25 for 12 months ("a year" for those in Yorba Linda -a Rush reference for those who get it)
Using my powers of deduction, I too have a coupon, and it expires on 2/21/2025 so I will make an educated guess BJs PLANS to be open by 2/21/25. If unforeseen circumstance happens, and the open date is moved back, I'm sure more coupons will be available with new...

Pro: new store front so fairly clean okay product selection. Gas station prices are good with membership My personal experience with employees has been positive. -The gas rewards with purchases helps They have an app for online orders
Con: biggest con for me- The rotisserie chicken has blood in it after I cooked it a little longer myself, having found out after buying it, it also has an off putting gamey taste. It does not seem good quality. okay product selection. Not many brand options on the healthier side. the apps filter option does not work with selecting more than one filter. Or it doesn't sort properly. when selecting filter out specific allergens, alot of the products listed still have the allergen in them. DOUBLE CHECKING RECOMMENDED if using the app to filter out allergen. wish we could 'select all' coupons to make clipping faster also thier demographic is a little off, you can tell its northern company because the clothing doesn't make sense for...
Read moreI joined this grocery store with one dream: unlimited cilantro. As someone who eats cilantro daily—yes, daily—this was supposed to be my personal paradise. Cilantro isn’t just a garnish to me; it’s the main character of my meals. So imagine my heartbreak when, time after time, I find the cilantro bin emptier than my fridge on payday.
At this point, I’ve become emotionally dependent on asking the produce guy, “Any chance the cilantro's coming in today?” He just sighs now. I think we both know the answer.
That said, credit where credit’s due: they’ve got great deals on milk and chicken. I’ve basically become a protein-and-dairy enthusiast by force. If you’re into affordable omelets and chicken dinners, this place delivers. If you're into cilantro, prepare for the emotional rollercoaster of a lifetime.
In short: if cilantro is your love language, prepare to be ghosted. But hey, at least your fridge will be stocked with milk for all...
