Torrid — Local services in Spring Hill

Yesterday was my daughters 30th birthday, and my mother, my sister and I had taken my daughter out for dinner and given her a gift card for Torrid as her birthday gift. We walked into the store very excited to have 3 generations of women shopping together. My mother is not well, and with the pandemic, she doesn't leave the house often. My sister had approached the manager to ask for my mother to use the rest room. My mother uses a walker, is a cancer patient and is on medication that sometimes causes her to need to use a restroom with urgency. The manager told my sister "restrooms are closed" she would have to use the one at a store that was so far down the parking lot, that she never would have made it in time. In the mean time, I approached another employee, and she stated that restrooms CAN be used by customers with exceptions and allowed Mom to use the restroom. The purchases my sister and my mother were going to make were returned to the rack. My mom was humiliated and embarrassed. I absolutely love this store. wearing plus-size clothes has been an issue for me since high school every time I would shop for them they were always geared more towards older people torrid actually has clothes that are in style and fit me. I went in there after my husband passed away and the staff helped me pick out something to wear to his celebration of life they took their time and had patience with my son the staff of this particular torrid in Brooksville on coastal boulevard is absolutely amazing I could give them a hundred Stars if it was possible this is where I shop and I will continue to shop there I suggest anybody that wears plus size clothing go there. some of their items are a bit pricey but the quality of the clothing is definitely worth the money and their clearance section is amazing it's usually buy one...

I was torn between giving this store 3 stars versus 4. The store itself is nice. Usually a decent selection. The employees need to take a few lessons in hospitality from the Wesley Chappel store, especially one of the managers who I would name if I knew it. The employees aren't rude but they definitely don't give as warm of a reception as the other location.

Update Was left a message by Torrid to contact them. I called the number listed and the rep had no idea what was going on or why I was told to contact them since they process orders there. I have no idea why the "owner" asked me to contact them at a number that couldn't help. Maybe to make it seem like they cared about my review to anyone...
