My good Lawd!!! It has been too long since I have been back to Spring Lake. My mother, who lives there, suggested we do takeout and she did NOT lead me astray! I haven’t had as tasty a burger as my Classic Mikey’s single in ages! I used to frequent Ray’s when I was in town, but their burgers can’t compare with this golden goodness! Definitely not a healthy choice, but I felt good supporting local. They get their meat fresh (no freezer establishment) and the taste was phenomenal! My only recommendation for when you go, because you absolutely SHOULD GO, is to grab extra napkins. Especially if you load your burger like I did. It was juicy, and messy, and just the right amount of greasy… and yeah. Napkins are your friend. The fries were plentiful and delicious. Think almost like shoe-string fries, but crispier and perfectly fried. I even had to try their chocolate shake, and it was the best bad choice I could have made. Gonna need to eat salads for a few days to compensate. But it was definitely worth it! I will absolutely be coming back! The atmosphere was that of a small town burger shack. The people behind the counter were smiling and talking to customers. Clearly this is a locals kinda place because the gentleman behind the counter bringing out orders and cleaning tables was joking and laughing and talking to people like they were old friends. Just standing there, waiting for my take-out order, I couldn’t help but smile at the relaxed and welcoming vibe of the place.
So do yourself a favor, and if you are in Spring Lake (or their Muskegon location), stop in and grab a bite. You’ll...

Both times the restaurant wasn't particularly busy either, so I'm unsure what led to this happening twice, but it's a disappointment to get home and find your order is wrong on multiple occasions. I tried giving them the benefit of the doubt once, but it starts feeling like a trend when it happens repeatedly.
Hamburger Mikey's is fast and delicious! The limited time "Quack Fries" are seriously the BEST french fry dish I ever had (I took this picture after I demolished the other side - whoops). The burger was solid, with a soft bun and a good amount of toppings. There was a pretty large size group grabbing dinner on a Friday, and I ordered, got my food, and ate in about 30-minutes. CRAZY fast! Staff was friendly and the overall atmosphere was incredibly positive. Definitely...

Hamburger Mikey's is a Muskegon favorite that added a location in Spring Lake, right by the water!
I got a one patty burger (called Mikey Original) with pineapple, mushrooms, jalapenos, grilled onion, and pepperjack cheese with Wild Mikey sauce (a bbq, mayo like mix). My mom came with and she got her burger, and we shared some frys (think Five Guys where their fry is good for two people).
It was delicious!
The burger was greasy, like an old school burger place, but it's manageable, nothing a couple napkins can't fix!
The meat is fresh from the Meat Block - another Muskegon treasure. Local butcher means the patty was tender and amazing, but also a little pricey.
That's the only downside about these sort of places. Certainly not budget friendly - but...
