The Sandwich They Gave Me Could Have Gotten Very Sick Or Worse! I am writing to express my disappointment and concern regarding a recent experience at this Spring Lake location Jersey Mike’s location. As someone with a mayonnaise allergy, I always order the #13 Mikes Way, which does not include mayonnaise in their “Mike's Way” subs. I've been a loyal customer of Jersey Mike's for years, usually visiting the Aberdeen, NC store without issue.
During my recent visit to the Spring Lake store, I explicitly stated my preference for no mayonnaise and requested “Mikes Way” like I have done many times at other Jersey Mike’s locations. However, after returning home, which is 23 miles away, I discovered mayonnaise in my sandwich when I took a bite This led to an immediate allergic reaction and me getting sick.
I called the store to address this serious oversight, hoping for an apology and a refund, considering the potential health risks involved. I provided my credit card details for the refund process. Unfortunately, the response I received was unsatisfactory. The staff member insisted on a store return for a refund, which is impractical for me due to the distance involved.
Given the gravity of this issue and the store's reluctance to resolve it appropriately, I am considering contacting Jersey Mike's corporate office and possibly seeking advice from outside counsel. It is vital that such mistakes are acknowledged and rectified, especially when they pose a health risk. The refusal to provide a straightforward refund for a minor order, necessitating a lengthy round trip, is unacceptable. I am determined to pursue this matter until a satisfactory resolution...
Read moreSome of the customer service skills can be a little more better. Especially when it is 8:30pm at night on a Saturday hence closing is a 9pm. Why slack in delivering great customer service skills because you have a little bit of time left on the clock. Especially when there is a gluten sensitivity customer there to be served. The subs are great I am just disappointed in that. Maybe cut off time for certain subs should be enforced instead of making it hard on those who gives you business. Just complete attitudes that aren’t necessary, I worked in customer service 7 plus years and if I was getting close to closing time, then I would govern myself accordingly professionally . My family all ordered cold subs which was not that hard to do, and we try to be respectful but if you do not want to work and understand the workload will not always be steady and would be very liable to change. Be prepared to do your job and at times may have to go over time, to please your customers! But was it a very busy day that should not have no affect on the performance of the job, when you are interviewed these matters come up in the interview and as the potential employee you answered it, as if you can handle it juggling weight in a tightrope. Only one person gave phenomenal customer service a guy who came from the back of the store. The other workers it was like, they did not even want to be there. Well they could have clocked out and went straight to the house and stayed there. So sad to write this very bad customer service review on a sub shop that grew on me. Food is great and that experience was uncalled for. Maybe routine customer service training...
Read morePhenomenal customer service and quality! I looked into several places that could and would field a pretty large order (over 300 meals, including beverages) and only found a couple capable, willing, and at a reasonable cost. Sam, at Jersey Mike's, spent the most time with me (compared to all competition) to go over ALL possibilities, landing on the one my organization decided to move forward with. Not only did Sam take on the additional workload (that he could have easily and politely refused - as others have), he and his crew were diligent in preparing each of the subs and meals. They came in earlier than they normally would have the day the order was expected, coordinated and received additional support from other locations, AND - Sam and a colleague even personally delivered the entire order to an agreed upon location! Talk about excellent service and impressive logistics - from a sub shop, nonetheless! Truly a "Sub Above" all competition (not just other sub shops). I would be remiss not to shine a light on this Jersey Mike's successful operation! Without stepping a foot into Sam's location on N. Bragg Blvd., I would highly recommend doing so to any person just based on the phenomenal customer care, service, and support that Sam and his crew - at this location - provided to feed over 300 people at a major event here on Ft. Bragg! Sam, you're the man! A big thanks to you and your crew! The subs and meals were excellent! All 300 plus...
