Me and my husband came here last night. My husband thought it would be a good idea to get me out to eat some food, because I have been dealing with my dying mother all day. Everything that we ordered, we barely ate. We packed up everything to go and not realizing we drove all the way back home way across town and realized neither one of us brought that to go bag. We called and they said they threw everything away. After talking with the girl on the phone, she finally said they can replace what we had. So we drive all the way back to the restaurant across town. When my husband goes in, the girl who had originally sat us, had the BIGGEST attitude problem and rolled her eyes so hard at my husband while handing him the food. As if we didn’t just pay for everything that we accidentally left on the table. They only replaced everything with half orders. I had a WHOLE kimchi fried rice with cheese that we only took 4 bites out of and packed the rest to go. I only ate 2 pieces of fried chicken out of 16 pieces that we also packed up to go. The reason why I’m writing the review is because I’m opening the order they gave me and it really upsets me to see that my kimchi fried rice that they gave me is so much less than what I had originally got and paid for. We paid over $70 and left a $10 tip. I can honestly say that we are never coming back in here again. And we loved this place. Because only as soon as they realize that my husband was also Filipino, then they were kind of nice to him. Next time, wait till the end of the night when you’re closing to throw the food away. You guys waited five or 10 minutes and then threw it away. We live 30 minutes across town and wasted the whole entire evening driving back-and-forth. And if you believe that we are lying and going to give us that much attitude for something, we already paid for, then go back in your garbage, open up the bags and see that we had way more food than what you gave us in return. So do I recommend anybody to go back to you guys?...
Read moreI finally got to try this Korean fried chicken joint while catching up with the my girls...4.5 but I'm rounding up.
BBQ Chicken Ambiance and Service: Brick walls, wooden floors, art of Korean Fried chicken, and a huge artistic wall mural with instructions on how to cook the Korean Fried chicken is showcased. They take their Covid-19 prevention measures seriously and the dining area was very clean. The servers were very helpful with the menu and the kitchen was lightning fast with getting our dishes to the table. They opened delivered and opened our large bottles of beer at the table which we appreciated. Kpop videos play on a monitor on the background. Twice and Black Pink were the perfect background music for the vibe here.
BBQ Chicken grindage: We sampled a ton of chicken Golden Original Chicken - Juicy and flavorful. This is the safest fried chicken here for those looking for a classical fried chicken vibe. Gangnam Style Wings - Peppers, leeks, garlic and sauteed with an aromatic black pepper sauce makes for some tasty wings. Very delish. Cheeseling Boneless - Boneless fried chicken covered with mascarpone cheese and cheddar cheese. The cheese powder brings this home for me. Chicken and cheese works for me and this is my fave because I'm a cheese guy all the way. Cheese Sticks - fried cheese sticks with minimal batter, so more cheese for me to enjoy. Kimchi Fried Rice - The perfect side to pair up with the all the fried chicken you're about to take down. We ordered the 'medium' sized and the serving was generous.
This was a great first visit and I'm looking forward to visiting again to eventually sample all the fried chicken flavors on the...
Read moreI LOVE Bb.q Chicken and am so sad I can't eat here anymore after being diagnosed with Celiac disease (no gluten.)
Before my diagnosis, this was my go to spot in Shanghai Plaza, specifically the soy garlic chicken.
Any time I have friends that ask for recommendations, I suggest this place. Yesterday I had some friends who had never been to Shanghai Plaza and haven't had much Asian food. I talked this place up and they agreed to go here.
Even though I couldn't eat anything but pickled radish and water, it made me so happy to see them raving about how good the secret sauce and soy garlic chicken were. My friends wife had ordered cheese sticks and French fries in case she didn't like the chicken - that was one of the reasons she was down to go to this place. She loved the chicken though.
It's great that this place has options for less adventurous and picky eats so that everyone in the group (without medical dietary restrictions like me) can eat something.
Service was great and we were lucky to have snagged a table despite the busy parking lot.
My husband got his soy garlic chicken. The 10 piece boneless was enough for dinner plus leftovers for him.
Although I wish their food was gluten free, I'm glad this place is so good that it reflects positively on me when people enjoy my...
