If you're in the market for Smiskis or Sonny Angels, I strongly recommend visiting authorized retail sellers like Kappa Toys or KPOP 1004 in Las Vegas instead of wasting your time at Kuma Co. My experiences with the employees there have consistently been negative; they are often rude, unwelcoming, and more interested in their phones or chatting with friends than assisting customers. I, along with others Iāve been with to the store, have even encountered racist and condescending interactions with their employees, which left me feeling uncomfortable and unwilling to support the business any longer.
Kuma Co. imposes strict purchasing limits on these figurines, which I found quite amusing given that they likely increased the limits due to disappointing sales. It's no surprise that customers are reluctant to navigate a cramped and unpleasant store environment only to face excessive restrictions along the lines of limit 1 per series per person/2 max per person or 4 max per party limits. With such stringent rules, it begs the question of why they bother selling them at all.
I'm surprised that 888 Collectibles next door is owned by the same people, as the employees there are much friendlier, and the overall atmosphere is more pleasant.
If you're looking for Sonny Angels or Smiskis without venturing too far, I suggest going downstairs to Cutie Design. Although their prices are slightly above retail, the staff is far more welcoming, making the shopping experience much...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCame in when they had the dino series in stock and there was a girl with glasses and a beanie working that day. Usually my experience with the people who work here have been positive but that day was not. The girl working that day was rude, condescending and judgmental. I came to purchase one sonny angel dino series and as i paid she just stared at me and after 30secs proceeds to say āthatās it?ā Yes thatās all i came here to buy i brushed it off and said thank you after paying and no thank you from her. I then went to look at other blind boxes they had in stock. I had 4 boxes of sanrio figurines i had in my hand and the cashier was staring at me as if i was stealing. Overall an uncomfortable experience I hope you guys train your employees better and not have them judge your customers...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe store has a decent selection of products, but their customer service and policies are subpar. Some of their rules make absolutely no sense.
I went in with a group of friends and bought a couple of toys. As we were checking out, the employee at the front told us there was a limit of four toys per party.
Thatās ridiculousāweāre all individual customers. So if we had walked in separately, we could have bought more, but because we entered together, weāre restricted? The logic is completely dumb.
As the store, YOU should be self aware that Shanghai plaza is not an easy place to get to. Lots of traffic, packed parking, and lots of hassle just to visit. If customers are willing to go through all that just to shop, the last thing they need is an arbitrary purchase limit that...
