Read more06/25 We thought we would give this place another chance, and are glad we did. The pizza was very good, as was the chicken alfredo and large bowl of lobster bisque. Service was fast and with a smile. They have a few tables inside, not a lot of room for indoor dining. Beware - they charge a nearly $3 service fee to use a credit card. They still serve Thrifty ice cream!
05/22 Although the food here is fantastic, some of the best I've had in Las Vegas, there seems to be a recurring problem at this establishment. That is, specifically, bill discrepancies at the end of the meal. Watch your bill! Keep a sharp eye on the charges. Every single time we have eaten inside, the bill has been wrong, to the favor of the restaurant. We have had to get our bill corrected every time! Sometimes, it's something small, but most of the times, it's something big. If we hadn't noticed these things each and every time, we would end up paying a lot more for food that we didn't eat. For this reason alone, we choose not to return. There are just too many other good places out there that don't mess with your bill every single time you show up. The first time, we figured okay no big deal. The second time we thought, hey didn't that happen last time? The third time we thought, wait a minute, three times in a row, that's not a coincidence. Something's wrong. Five stars for the food, one star for the "creative" bills. That averages to three stars. In fact, on our last trip, we were charged $3.95 extra for just being there. I'm very serious. It wasn't a mistake in charge for any food, he explained to us that things are just more expensive these days. That's after most everything was charged $2 more than what we were accustomed.
OLD REVIEW There is a nice small dining room inside, maybe about five tables or so. We were greeted, by what might have been one of the owners, with a sample of some small slices of cheese pizza and marinara sauce, which was excellent, convincing us that their pizza was going to be good. We were not disappointed! The pizza was excellent! We got the supreme pizza. Crispy chewy crust - just perfect. They use crumbly sausage, not whole. The meat lasagna is excellent, and the chicken alfredo is superb. The ricotta cheesecake was also very good. Great service, coming back and checking with us a lot. They only have cans and 2 liter sodas, no fountain, no iced tea. Gatorade was available. They have homemade desserts, and also Thrifty ice cream! Beer and wine served. We'll be back for more of their delicious pizza, and to try...

The photo that really got me was the Chicken Bianca Quesadilla Stuffed Pizza-- like, are you kidding me?!? OMG... in my mouth right now, pleeeze!
I didn't see it on the menu, called up and Richie the owner answered with his familiar (though we rarely hear it anymore, so when we do it's fun!) New York voice (born in Canarsie, came here to Vegas 20 years ago by way of Brooklyn and Staten Island-- and MAN, I bet he's glad he did-- WE'RE glad he did!)... and he made it seem pretty clear that although it's not on the menu... almost anything is possible.
I directed him to that amazing photo, and he said, "I made that years ago, I THINK I know what I put in it/ on it... but what do YOU want on it?"
We discussed the chicken, the cheese, some grilled onions, and don't forget that white sauce... and some magic, Richie, whatever ya got...
... and he made good. WHAT WAS ON THOSE ONIONS?!? I'm guessing there's some honey involved in the garlicky white sauce or something, because everything was warm-huggy ooze with the perfect balance of salt and sweet. Holy Mother of Mozzarella!
(no photo of this masterpiece from me though... as it seriously went straight into my mouth. I'm clearly a toddler.)
2 weeks later, I was jonesing for some meatball, eggplant, pizza... I told my husband, a born and raised NYer himself who is always getting questioned by the locals about his accent (He says, "Accent? Do I have an accent?!?') that we need to call "That NY guy near The Lakes"... and... what I say goes, though my husband happily goes along with the plan...
I called up Richie, and reminded him that I was "that girl with the husband from NY" who ordered the bianca chicken quesadilla stuffed pizza and how amazing it was. He thought I was simply calling to compliment, but nope, I was ordering too.
He also told me that he's hitting the big time soon, as he'll be featured on Drive Ins, Diners and Dives! I'm 0% surprised. Live that spotlight up, man, you deserve!!
I've got a photo this time. It's obviously not as photographically inventive as the Chick-Bianca-Quesadilla-Stuffed-Pizza, but it was very, VERY good. No skimping on meatballs or the breaded and perfectly crispy eggplant.
Richie, ya gonna make me fat, man. Good thing YOU'RE the one that's gonna be...
