It’s a to-go restaurant so atmosphere isn’t applicable. :) I pre-ordered dim sum (har gow, shumai both shrimp and pork, wontons and Chinese donuts and char siu bao (steamed and baked)) for my mother’s 80th birthday party. It was fresh and ready when I picked up and everybody enjoyed it! Since my mom grew up in Hong Kong and we had family visiting, I thought this was the most appropriate food choice, They said it had the most authentic taste and texture of any dim sum places out here! The sizes are bigger than normal dim sum places and the quality is just as good. I’ve always been sensitive to ammonia in old char siu bao and there was no bad or off tasting meat at all. The har gow isn’t on the visible menu, but it’s made in-house and absolutely delicious. Even my son could eat all the dumplings since there is no hidden soy! (He has soy allergies). The shu mai is the right texture- both pork and shrimp. Very tasty and one or two is enough for one person. And the youtiao is fresh baked and is a cross between a French cruller , an American funnel cake and a regular Chinese donut. I ordered the wontons just boiled instead of fried- they were perfect. Go in person to order for a party. Their son is very nice and speaks English. I wish I had taken photos before everything got eaten!!!! I only got a pic of when I was picking up and after I made a bowl of congee (that’s the Chinese donut- youtiao...
Read moreMy husband and I stopped in here for lunch. Not only did we have an amazing lunch but we were able to take home dinner as well for our entire family of 5. The server / cashier (who may be the owner) was very friendly and accommodating. The orange chicken was crunchy and the sauce was tangy there was chicken pieces underneath the tempura that were tender this is not your Panda Express orange chicken folks 😂 the orange chicken does come with a side of rice that was nice and fluffy (not sticky) the chicken fried rice had literal grilled chicken strips in it & it too was nice and fluffy. We also got a six pack of cookies for dessert. So for less than $43 we not only ATE WELL once but we will eat well again real soon. The dining room was warm so I would get it to go next time. They have a diverse clientele population because as we sat there and ate our lunch there were people who came in to pick up stuff to go and to order in and they were from all walks of life so I do appreciate that. It reminds me of the old SS fish and chips building off of Lake Mead & Las Vegas boulevard back in the day. I felt safe & that's important in areas of town I normally don't stop in 😂 I happen to feel safest around those...
Read moreAbout as awful as it could possibly be. Walking in, I considered turning around and not purchasing anything because it was so dirty and disorganized inside… I stuck with it and thought maybe they had some magnificent food…. They did not.
This is the epitome of a business owner that has zero pride or drive in delivering quality results to the community. Completely awful.
I ordered two egg rolls and crab rangoons… this cost $15. I didn’t eat in the restaurant because it was so dirty, I didn’t want to touch anything. I had a bite of a crab Rangoon and the only thing I could taste is old expired dirty oil…. I don’t think they have changed the fry oil in years, maybe decades.
I tried a bite of one egg roll… also old oil taste. No other flavors. Horrific.
Do not go here. Please save yourself some money and time. I don’t even feel comfortable giving this food to a homeless person in fear of...
