This is Vegas. Menu looks like a good legit Viet restaurant. In comparison to LA SGV/OC, this place's food quality and taste reminds me of super cheap pho restaurant? Vegas is town, also in a landlock state, very middle America culture...so maybe Vegas pho leans maybe in between middle America and LA/OC?
This place would be above banh mi che cali (which I think of as super cheap take out street food) but below the normal average everyday places...and it would survive because it's super duper cheap, cash only, sticky tables type of place haha
For Vegas = that's amazing that the dishes actually taste like what it's supposed, even if it's not good. Many Vegas places have dishes that don't event taste like the dish name. Vegas is confusing; just think of it as London...the food looks really good, and then you bite into it, and your banh mi taste like American potatoe salad haha
SO was just happy that the pho noodles were done not bad lol Thats how low the bar is in Vegas. 3% fee is your use credit card. We were fine with that since we didn't bring cash. SO says yes down to come back. He thinks this is the least sucky pho so far. I dunno. I might just give up on eating pho in Vegas. And just have it maybe every other month or 2x a year from a friend making it homemade, or when cisit LA SGV or OC.
#7. Dat Biet $16.25 (large combination pho) Flank was too tough even for my SO, meat eater lover who usually doesn't care much. Broth taste flavor = msg? Or something generic. Missing something actual broth flavors. SO thinks it's very slightly on the sweeter side. But noodles are fine.. something you never really have to care about in LA/OC. But in Vegas, just getting basics kinda done for is difficult to find in Vegas. Update: Nm, not msg. We didn't feel as crappy as we would from overly msg places. So maybe this place could a possible contender to try again?
#30. Com Ga Roti $16.95 (tomato rice with roasted henl. This was too salty for me (but I got the half that was too salty, rest was fine). Rice was whatevers too. Was overly fried? Really liked that they offered a lot of pickled diakon, and cucumbers sides. We wouldn't get this again.
I was warned by other Yelper (whose from an area with plentiful Pho before) about how pho is in Vegas...pretty much nonexistent for those who likes pho. There's plenty of Vegas pho/middle...
Read moreHorrible experience! One of the employees threatened me with physical violence because of the tip I gave after dinner.
I finished dinner with my friends. I gave a tip for dinner. No sooner, the employee came over and gave a very rude remark about the tip I left for the dinner. At first we thought he was joking, but in fact he was not. He was being very rude, hostile and I confronted the man and told him that this was a very inappropriate remark to say to a customer.
He becomes extremely hostile, saying the tip for dinner was not enough for his liking. I told him you do not treat paying customers like that. We all left the establishment and tried to calm down in the parking lot since the man was very hostile towards me and my friends.
The man comes out from the restuarant in a very hostile manner yelling at us to never come back. He was being extremely aggressive and got right in my face, threatening to fight me. Multiple times he would get into my personal space and threatened physical force, I asked multiple times for him to back away from me. I made no hostile remarks or gestures, and just asked the man to go back into the restuarant and leave us alone. We were in the parking far away from the establishment, not bothering anyone. The man came out at least 4 different times of the restuarant to confront me.
There was no manager at the restuarant. One employee said there wasn't a manager. Then another said that he was the manager. Then the employees offered to give the phone number for the manager. I declined. I was refunded my money for the dinner. This was all in the parking alot away from the restuarant.
Just overall, terrible experience with the employee. I almost called the police on him because he would not leave us alone even after we left the establishment. This man needs to go to anger management and be fired for this incident. No employee should treat a customer like that, threatening physical...
Read moreThis is the 4th time I’ve been here for lunch. Usually with friends but today…oh so lonely. That’s alright. Every time I’ve come (which only has been during the pandemic) it has been very busy. And on this occasion I was the only non-Asian person in the restaurant. I would like to think that this place is not only just good, but authentic. Now that 100% capacity is opened back up, the restaurant is almost full. And that is at 2pm.
Atmosphere 4⭐️: This is an open layout with plenty of natural light during the daytime. . There is a bit of a rustic feeling because of the tables and wall laminate. Mostly table seating. There half booths along the walls but no cushioned seats if you’re expecting one (this is not a complaint).
Cleanliness: 4⭐️ very clean from what I could see and generally they are cleaning the tables off pretty quickly. The bathrooms
Service: 3⭐️. Middle of the road. Usually the service Isn’t bad, but wasn’t outstanding. Today it took a little while for the waitress to take my order. Probably because they are so busy. But the food came pretty quick.
Food Quality & Taste: 5⭐️ I’ve only had Pho with chicken. And every time it is excellent. When driving around today wondering what to eat I saw a another Vietnamese restaurant (which I have eaten at before). I decided that was the type of food that I wanted and drove to this place instead. But looking at the other tables the other menu options look very appetizing.
Price/value: 4⭐️ The small is a good size portion. The large is for the gluttonous. So big. And the price is decent.
Summary: a good experience every time. I will come back, as I...
