So in the competitive restaurant business of Las Vegas when you have over 50 locations and you are not a national brand you are doing something right. I grew up with Roberto's and anytime I try a different casual dining Mexican place I am disappointed and wish I would have just gone to Roberto's. You can find them in gas stations you can find them on Corners you can find them in plazas in fact you can kind of just drive and look around and you will see a Roberto's within five minutes. I always liked the Carnitas burrito the carne asada tacos quesadillas pretty much I like everything there. So do my kids so does my family so do my friends. When we are out having a night of partying with out-of-town people and then we stopped there the next time they're in town they don't wait until it's late night with the party right away they want to go to Robertos. This is not the best Mexican food you can get in the city but it is definitely the best casual fast Mexican food you can get in the city in my opinion. When I was a kid there wasn't a lot of other options but when I try their competitors they are equal to or less than. Especially when it comes to consistency across locations. Which is pretty impressive because I understand they are franchises I think the family only owns a couple locations left in town. Don't forget to get lots of red and green sauce and maybe a glass...
Read moreCustomer service is extremely poor. Female employee who works overnight shift completely avoids acknowledging customers. I came around 1am and sat at the counter for 10 plus minutes without even a hello. Then the lady walked up to the counter never making eye contact with me and started giving food to another customer. When she began to walk away without so much as a glance at me. I waved and said "hello?" I got a grunt in response. I waited at the counter and finally got some service after another few minutes. I was still at the counter when she came back and set some food down. I asked if it was mine because she didn't indicate that it was mine and set it to the side of me. She nodded it at, I collected my food and left. During the entire visit the lady didn't say a single word to me. You may think, "maybe she doesn't speak english" this is not the case as I spoke perfect Spanish to her when she didn't respond to me in English. Me and my wife came back a couple of evenings later and when I saw the rude lady working inside I asked my wife to pick it up as I did not feel like dealing with this rude nasty lady. When my wife returned to the car she informed me that she also received the same treatment. This is very...
Read moreHuge portions is definitely a sign of crappy food. I really don't think that the people who are giving great reviews for this place know what the hell they are talking about. The nachos are slop, the tortillas are what you would get in a grocery store, the salsa counter is gross because all the salsa is super runny and not one bit spicy for some reason, and the damn meat is either really greasy and flavorless or really damn dry and flavorless. I got some tacos that had a whole ladle of green avocado sauce poured all over them(meat looked and tasted as if it were at least one day old), and my wife got a gigantic dry chicken quesadilla with chicken, a tiny bit of cheese, and some damn peppers in it, that's it. Me and my wife could not finish our food because half-way through we realized how disgusting and sad it actually was. I'm not saying that robertos is the reason she is lying here in bed with uncontrollable diarrhea and upset stomach but I wouldn't doubt it...
