Extremely Disappointing Experience: Bad Service, Subpar Food, and Unjustified Overpricing. I recently had the misfortune of dining at MeXcal Cantina , and I must say that it was an incredibly disappointing experience from start to finish. I feel compelled to share my negative encounter in the hope that others can avoid the same frustration and dissatisfaction that I endured. First and foremost, the service at MeXcal Cantina was abysmal. The staff seemed disinterested, inattentive, and downright rude. It took an unreasonable amount of time for them to even acknowledge our presence, and when they finally did, their demeanor was far from welcoming. It's disheartening when the very people who should be providing a pleasant dining experience contribute to its downfall. The quality of the food was shockingly poor. The dishes lacked flavor, were poorly executed, and appeared hastily thrown together. It was evident that little care went into the preparation, and the presentation left much to be desired. Considering the exorbitant prices they charged, one would expect a far better culinary experience than what was delivered. Speaking of prices, let's address the issue of overpricing. Not only were the menu prices inflated for the quality of food provided, but the restaurant also had the audacity to tack on an additional 15% charge for a party of two people. We were told that this charge was due to us being considered a larger group, despite clearly being only two individuals. It felt like a deliberate attempt to squeeze extra money out of us, and it left a sour taste in our mouths. Misrepresenting the number of diners in order to justify an additional charge is deceitful and unethical. It's disappointing to see a restaurant resort to such dishonest practices, tarnishing their reputation and eroding the trust of their customers. In conclusion, I cannot recommend MeXcal Cantina based on my experience. The combination of bad service, subpar food, overpricing, and the unjustified 15% surcharge for a party of two has left me thoroughly dissatisfied. I encourage others to consider their options carefully before dining here, as there are certainly better establishments that value their customers and provide a quality dining experience. I sincerely hope that MeXcal Cantina takes this feedback constructively and strives to improve their service, food quality, and...

Title: Mixed Experience with Good Place, Poor Drinks, and Horrible Service

Rating: 2.5/5

I recently visited a place that left me with mixed feelings. While there were some positive aspects, the overall experience was marred by disappointing drinks and abysmal service. Here's a detailed review:

The ambiance of the place was pleasant, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The decor was tasteful, and the seating arrangements were comfortable. It seemed like a great spot to hang out with friends or have a casual meal.

Let's start with the food, which was surprisingly good. The menu offered a wide variety of options, and the dishes I tried were flavorful and well-prepared. The ingredients seemed fresh, and the presentation was appealing. The culinary aspect of the place definitely deserves praise.

However, the same cannot be said for the drinks. Unfortunately, the beverages were a major letdown. The cocktails lacked balance and creativity. The flavors were dull, and the drinks were poorly mixed. It felt like the bartenders lacked expertise in crafting enjoyable beverages. This was a significant disappointment, especially considering the high expectations I had based on the food quality.

Now, onto the service, which was nothing short of a disaster. The staff seemed disinterested and inattentive. They took an exceptionally long time to take our orders, and once the food arrived, they rarely checked on us. Trying to get their attention for basic requests or inquiries was a challenge. The lack of professionalism and friendliness was evident throughout the entire visit and significantly impacted the overall experience.

In summary, while the place had a good atmosphere and served delicious food, the poor quality of the drinks and the horrendous service left a sour taste in my mouth. If they improve their beverage offerings and provide better customer service, this place has the potential to be a great destination. However, until these issues are addressed, I would hesitate to...

Worst experience EVER The server… its insane how disrespectful our server was I believe her name was Stefanny or estafani she was “working” on the outside section during the evening on March 22nd. since first ordering a glass of water very politely she rolled her eyes at me and said nothing .. I was so shocked I looked at my friend asking if she saw and said yes what was that about? I have no idea why she had such a bad attitude . Like I’m ordering at a restaurant something to drink what was the issue? Not once did I disrespect her to act that way… then I noticed she was having an attitude problem being so aggressive with the rest of the table ordering and she also was standing there with a face like she didn’t want to work my party was completely in shock how rude she was….then 2 hours later after not checking up on us NOT once, she demanded us to pay the check already with an attitude rushing us. The lady’s that are the busters took care of us very well bringing us refills and asking if there was anything else that we needed something that our server should have done! I honestly never experienced such terrible customer service but common like if you don’t like what you do get another job.. she was one of the rudest servers I have ever seen in my life..beware of her! She does look on the older side with black hair. Completely ruined the experience for my party will never be going back! Please do better to having a conversation with the servers about customer service because that was absolutely no way to...

Honestly, this place should shut down until the ownership hires a professional manager who knows how to service this clientele base. I felt like I was experiencing an A&E Bar Rescue scenario, seriously! I was waiting for John Taffer to come out of nowhere say this place is shut down! Over priced!! I hate to say it, but Spanish Flower located next door seems better. Complaints: As our hostess presented us at our table, she had the nerve to ask our party if we spoke Spanish, because of our waiter. We're in the United States of America!! What the F?? Never been racially profiled and my party is of Mexican descent!! Our waitress wasn't very helpful when we asked questions "I don't know, but in Spanish" This place charges for salsa & chips, (each order) Twice had to send back chips due to one being over cooked (as you can see) the other had numerous chips under cooked soggy 2nd, My group was given a cup of water that had hair on it. The individual didn't realize it, until it was brought up. They have live music, dudes came around charging $30 to play a Mexican song. The group blast their instruments (a trombone) next to you where you can't hear your group speaking! Trashy! Make sure to check your tickets!!

If there was a way to give them a zero star, I would. Tonight was the first time visiting this establishment. My husband and I wanted to try something new for our night out. Unfortunately, this place has left my husband and I feeling physically sick. We had shared the dish called mar y tierra. Which is a dish that has melted cheese on top of the fajita. Half way done with the fajita my husband tasted something minty. To our horror we found spearmint gum in the fajita. Which he did in fact eat part of. I don't think the manager understood how serious this matter is nor the employee that is responsible for this dilemma. Blood-borne pathogens can easily be transmitted in this way. We spoke to the night shift manager in which he stated he would check the cameras and that he would give us a call. We paid for our drinks, but not the food. I will say the atmosphere was great, the service was fast, and our server was attentive. However, we will not be returning to this place. We will be seeking legal council if either one of us get sick from this.

The atmosphere was nice, and first impressions of the staff were good, but I wish I could say the same about the food. We ordered queso, enchiladas, ceviche, and some seafood soup. The seafood plates were good, but the Mexican food was disappointing. The queso was too thick and probably needed to be heated up more. The enchiladas were smothered in cheese, which is not what I ordered as chicken with salsa verde was what I ordered. The rice tasted like it was reheated as it was cumply and not fresh, while the refried beans were ok. I tried using some of the free salsa you get with chips, but I ended up scraping the cheese from the enchiladas to make them edible as the cheese was cheap and chewy. Unfortunately, even the filling and tortillas couldn't save this dish. I asked for extra salsa verde as the waitress kept insisting that the dish I received was correct, which I was promptly charged for as a side dip. So if you're looking for good Mexican food, just go to the other places right before this one on the same street.
