Ojos Locos Sports Cantina (Northpark - Houston, TX) — Restaurant in Texas

I was so excited about my first experience at Ojos Locos just to be let down. First I ordered a jack and lemonade, and it was terrible. I’m not sure if they used a lemon mix or a sour mix or what but it was absolutely terrible. I sent it back and instead ordered a mango strawberry frozen margarita. It had the worst after taste and it came with a salted rim, instead of sugar. It honestly had an after taste of salt water. Gross. Then myself and my boyfriend ordered a burger medium rare. They both came out well done. I don’t like sending food back in fear of it being messed with in the kitchen. After a 15 minutes of the waitress walking back and forth between our table and the manager (after we just asked that the manager come over) we finally got told they would remake the Patty to the temp we ordered it at. The waitress asked if my boyfriend wanted another beer he said sure. After 15 minutes she came back and checked on us, and asked if we needed anything. We said just the beer. SHE NEVER PUT IT IN. She constantly went missing, we could never find her.

I also noticed waitresses actually SITTING with preferred tables. So strange and unprofessional.

This waitress was the rudest. Another waitress served shots at our table. We were with a big group so I assumed someone else ordered them. This waitress barely spoke English but I managed to understand that she said she was going to charge us for the shots that they mistakenly put at our table. The manager came who did not speak English either. They said they would charge us for the shots I told them no. Then she began snatching the shots back from our table. Even after some of us had already squeezed lime and drank some of the shots. I even saw her serve the same shots to other guests. I asked what her name was and she tried to get me kicked out of the bar. Terrible place to go. I was uneasy about going to this bar because I heard people have been shot here but it's just as unsafe inside. The security guards were ready to attack although I did nothing wrong luckily I decided to leave even before they confronted me I could see it turning into a very unpleasant experience. To start with, the security guard acted racist toward the group of friends who were with me. He asked the four of us who were with him for ID, but one of us didn't even have one and left. His security guarding the place is understandable, but our group is made up of Hispanics and Black men. But 2-3 minutes later, other white people (gringos) arrived and didn't ask for ID and didn't even search them in detail like he did with us Hispanics. Seeing this, I walked up to him and asked why he didn't ask for ID like he did with us. He just acted like I was stupid, saying, "Who?" "Which?" "I don't know." Anyway, I just told him that I was fine, but I saw him and felt attacked by security for being racist toward us as Hispanics, so we left the place.
