Pho Nam — Restaurant in Spring

I was really hoping for this new pho place to meet my expectations after reading all the good reviews, but it was a let down. The pho broth was barely hot when it got to our table and it was lukewarm after I took like two sips. The broth barely had any spice aroma and mostly tasted like fish sauce, but was still somehow bland. Maybe the other items on their menu are better, but the pho was definitely not something I’d get again. Also thought it was weird that a restaurant didn’t serve any complimentary water. Just seems like a money grab.

Edit: I don’t appreciate the backhanded reply. All I said was what I tasted in the broth. It smelled like fish sauce and was bland; that is a fact. I don’t know if you actually use fish sauce in your broth or not, I’m only stating what I tasted.

I was not expecting a free bottle of water, just that the staff gave complimentary water or if asked for water, they also point out that there is a water station(which we did not see when we went) instead of just charging for bottles of water right away.

I was thinking of going back to try other menu items before since it’s so close to our house, but now we definitely won’t...

My son and I stopped by today on a whim looking for something to eat. Chicken specifically but not fast food was his request. This place is literally right down the street for us and I can't imagine how many times I have passed it.

Suffice to say it was a great decision. It smells good before you even get in the door and just as good inside. The smell of a restaurant is an immediate indicator for me. Ordering for take out was super quick. Everything is visual available and they have specials right at the front. We decided to go for the crispy chicken plates and bahn mi.

The young lady who took our order was very efficient and kind. While we were waiting for our order a kind gentle checked on us and the table eating in and offered us a drink while we waited. So great service! Also prices were very reasonable.

Finally on to the food. Will be returning for sure for the chicken plate. So good! I can't wait to try some of the other dishes, particularly the spicy beef noodle soup. My son and husband both raved about the food so I think we have found a new regular spot for us.

Lovers of pho know that pho is the key to recovering from sickness... or a hang-over. 😉 I have been battling a severe cold and once I finally had the energy to leave my home, I sought out a delicious bowl of pho. The google reviews caught my attention, so I decided to try Pho Nam. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT 👏🏼 I arrived a few minutes after they opened and was greeting by the very kind and passionate owner. I let him know that I was seeking some pho to help recovery from my sickness. He understood the assignment! Though I prefer to have my pho at the establishment, I took my order to-go. Even so, it was delicious! I ordered the Pho Tai with the filet mignon. The broth was flavorful, the meat was PERFECTION, the toppings were fresh, and I can honestly say I have started to feel better within hours of finishing my delicious bowl. I will definitely be returning with my husband and friends. Oh, and Thai milk tea was also a yummy addition...
