Cronut Donuts — Restaurant in Springdale

I love this place. It’s been my go to donut spot for a while now, and I haven’t had a bad experience yet. The person at the counter is not going to be all sunshine and rainbows, but I also haven’t been disrespected or anything like that. They say hello, they tell me to have a good day. That’s all I need, and as long as the food is good I’m plenty happy.

And the food is good! I’ve bought their donuts for my work place a couple times and every time my coworker friends comment on how good the donuts are. Can’t ask for much more than that.

There are more than enough donut places around here and a lot of them trade quality food for just being friendly to the point of annoyance. I really wanted to love this place. I'm all about supporting local business owners, but I just cannot get myself to give this business a good rating. Yes, they lack customer service; they're not as friendly as I would expect, but that's not the reason why I rated them low. Their donuts tasted VERY off...as if they were cooked in old grease or they cooked all of their items (bacon, donuts, kolaches, etc) in the same grease. The boba drink I got was very off as well...didn't know if it was a poor recipe or if it was made with spoiled milk. I kept all of these thoughts in my head just so I wouldn't ruin the morning for my kids, but once my kids expressed that the donuts tasted bad and made their throats feel weird...I definitely wanted to write this review. I decided to make this my weekly donut shop, cause the fritters are awesome. However, I can’t get passed the service. I went through the drive thru at 8:05am after the main rush. I got to work and called the store because I did not receive my breakfast sandwich just my fritter. I called back to the store after realizing it when I arrived at work. The lady who answered, basically called me a liar…. Stating ahead of time gave me the sandwich. I have never been treated so crappy by a small business owner. I will never go back and I hope learns before it continues to hurt...
