I really didn't know how to rate this food truck only because the food had good flavor but not quite like the jamaican food we've had IN Jamaica. The other problem I had was that I assumed for the price that was posted/charged that we were getting more than a kid sampler portion. There were just chicken pieces cut up in the rice and I ordered my bae plantains but we got 2 small pieces. The portion sizes of another jamaican truck does a better job of comparable price to portion. Again, the food was good but was missing the "flavor". This bright green truck is super distinctive, and the flavors they serve up are just as vibrant!

They stopped by my workplace and I ordered an island rice box with a side of fried plantains.

When I got back to my desk and dug in, I couldn't help but mutter "Wow." Since losing a good portion of my smell/taste after covid last year, I haven't tasted something so vividly until that first forkful. Absolutely delicious, and super filling. The sweet plantains were a lovely addition, and piping hot.

I had the opportunity to try Just Jerks recently when my employer brought in their food truck this week. I ordered the jerk chicken rice bowl. The chicken was wonderful with a good amount of seasoning and heat. The mango salsa was delicious as were the fried plaintains I got on the side. The rice was only mediocre but didn't take away from the rest of the meal. I'm not a rice fan anyway! They have soft tacos too I want to try next time - either chicken or salmon.
